I do not know if it has a negative effect on what not server settings, but at least missing the / at the end has an issue here on my host in audioMotion Application. Not sure if you have a / at the end for the music folder? But whatever the case, it seems to work now!

Yea just checked the network information, music has the / at the end compared to backgrounds not having it by standard when it ask for the address. And apparently enough to make issues on the host to try to send back a http making it not work.

So.... This seems to solve the biggie terrible issue I have had, if it does nothing but fixes things, then a correction might be advised to add the / in the background/ in the app code.

I do not know why I did not notice that, I had toyed around with the address and yet got nothing working, who would known a little / would do it. Well.... Happy I have finally found the issue, or sorted it out.

As tested, with the near pure Dev version, so nothing extra would be in the way, I only remove +FollowSymLinks as it breaks with it:
So this is what is in the .htaccess file of the pure version and yet the httpS background issue is still there:
Options +Indexes

Nothing else.

Now my main .htaccess of cause is bigger with more info and all - but again I have taken that out of the equation, as testing things. The issue is still there without my main .htaccess, and in whatever domain I have used, aM, aMd, aMo and made a new one aMt for another test. It is all the same - it cannot reach the backgrounds folder without / added to the end of backgrounds.

Yea, I would not think it would matter either - but apparently the server does something when there is no / apparently. It was ChatGPT that pointed it out - although have had a lot of waste of time on those accords on this issue trying to get some insights into it. But I hit into something useful for once on this :P

If you still wanna see my main .htaccess I can surely provide it - but overall, the issue is there before even fixing my own standard .htaccess file.

Of cause I will keep on testing it with the backgrounds/ and I have not seen any problems yet with it, beside my backgrounds now working and the player working in both http and httpS as it should.

Like again, to be clear, I make another subdomain, total pure - use your untouched Dev version, remove the +FollowSymLinks from the .htaccess and upload the public files to the new sub domain - and hit into the issue in httpS not wanting to read the backgrounds.
To fix it I change backgrounds to backgrounds/ as seen above in the pictures.

The sub domains are not going to pull any .htaccess file from the root/main domain itself as far as I know.... So it should be utterly pure and local.

I think it was this was this last information from ChatGPT that made me think of this - trying to gather what was wrong:

Many servers automatically redirect /backgrounds to /backgrounds/ if /backgrounds is treated as a directory.

And the trailing / clearly worked so.... But if I run into some issue, I will report :)

Here are some more testing.
renamed and Fixed _ in config.json so it does not make any error on that.
fixed backgrounds to backgrounds/ in audioMotion.js.
Turned off #+FollowSymLinks in .htaccess.

Although the first 4 I had to retest as I missed something, so redid it - but all working. When you do the inspect, there is a function to turn of cache at the very least when inspect is open.... better then nothing.
Anyway, everything is working, including my own main version of cause. Just to do some testing on other web hosts to see if there was any problems. I do not see any.

Beside these 56 things it complain about, but that is most likely nothing seriously, just that it seems to disagree with some code that does not have this and that. But overall, no errors in the consol - and backgrounds work as can be seen.

Although had hope you had fixed the Hz into C, but I guess you have your reasons. Or just did not get to it.

In any case, it is all up and running. And I see there are some new things in the subtitle section and video working a little different.

Mono seems to work in both speakers now, and I think it seem you sorted out the Note bar not having a gab anymore when I do +125% - which I kinda do on this new computer to make things a little bigger. Here is how it looks on my side, 100% and 125%.

Seems I all of a sudden have a new Security issue - oh how I just love httpS................ This time with the color I have connected - I do not know why this all of a sudden came up, as far as I recall I tested it both in http and httpS - but maybe not..... Whatever the case I am now running into another rubbish nonsense issue.

Another puzzle to solve, I guess I will have to go through the .htaccess files......... I do not know..... Security rubbish.
