is translated on the German version as

Wenn du deine E-Mail-Adresse öffentlich machen möchtest, kannst du die von GitHub bereitgestellte no-reply-E-Mail-Adresse für Git-Vorgänge verwenden und andere Co-Autoren bitten, deine no-reply-Adresse in Commitnachspannen zu verwenden.

The meaning of the first part of the sentence is negated in the German translation; it should instead be "Wenn du deine E-Mail-Adresse nicht öffentlich machen möchtest ..." (emphasis added)
