There's known intermittant connection issues with the Nissan API's. And also, the integration only works with certain ages of cars(?).

While the hints section does document a few of these

The Nissan servers have a history of being unstable, therefore please confirm that the official Nissan Leaf app/website is working correctly before reporting bugs.

In the UK the cut-off for Carwings was the 16 plate 24 kWh and the 65 plate 30 kWh. Cars after this have NissanConnect.

It feels like a mixture of both of these should be mentioned in the lead, and possibly cross ref the GitHub issue for HA core.

Not sure offhand if we have a "warning" or "info" box we can use here to draw attention a little easier.
