Feedback

This is the dashboard documentation:

But this is the dashboard we have when we install Home Assistant and click on "Edit" as demonstrated
Even after clicking on "Take control", the dashboard is not even close to what is demonstrated.

It's completly different.

Please, provide a documentation using the default (not customized) dashboard, otherwise the documentation becomes useless for new users (like me), that have no idea how to get the same dashboard as demonstraded.

Also the demo is totally different from the Fresh Home-Assistant installation.

What is demonstraded is not what the user will get when Home Assistant is installed

Additional information

Documentation must be writen following the default settings.

The current documentation for the Home Assistant dashboard is misleading and ineffective for new users. A significant discrepancy exists between the dashboard depicted in the official documentation and the default dashboard presented to users upon a fresh installation.

The documentation features a highly customized dashboard, which does not reflect the out-of-the-box user experience. For new users, this creates a major point of confusion and renders the provided instructions unhelpful. The lack of guidance on how to replicate the documented dashboard leaves beginners without a clear path forward, making the documentation largely useless.

To effectively serve new users, the documentation should be updated to feature the default, uncustomized dashboard. This will align the instructions with the initial user experience, providing a clear and useful reference point for beginners. A separate section could then be dedicated to demonstrating how to customize the dashboard to achieve the advanced configuration shown in the current documentation. This approach would bridge the gap between the initial setup and advanced customization, making the documentation a valuable resource for all users.
