Effective research works are being carried out to create new seeds of highly productive agricultural crops adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of our country, to preserve the valuable species of the Karakum desert flora and fauna and the Caspian Sea, to determine how to use in agriculture the Turkmen Lake Altyn Asyr and its collector-drainage systems, as well as adjacent territories, which has a positive effect on the ecological situation in the region.

The lake called Altyn Asyr will collect collector-drainage waters from irrigated lands of all velayats (regions) of the country.

In 2015, the Government of Turkmenistan announced plans to open an additional Rehabilitation Center for the treatment of substance abuse in the Altyn Asyr district of Ahal province that will be able to house approximately 120 patients.

Turkmenistan has signed 10 documents concerning the export of agricultural products for a total price of more than $251.371 million,Trendreports referring to the local Altyn Asyr TV channel.

The first look at the Altyn Asyr Lake was reward in itself.

This project follows the successful completion of three similar projects on Turkmenistan's Uzbek, Afghan, and Iranian (Altyn Asyr) borders.
