Education chiefs say standards have risen steadily in Ashington schools since the

EAZ, also celebrated the life of Kel Dennis who died last year from cancer, aged 59.
John Murphy, director of the
EAZ, believes the organisation is already having a positive effect, although the fruits of their work may not be seen in the immediate future.
Piloted at Woodway Park School in Coventry, the scheme has been rolled out to ten further schools in the Coventry
EAZ and one in Birmingham.
