EESW

In July, EESW ran the Headstart Cymru programme at the product design department in Bangor University.

EESW and its STEM Cymru project cover the Engineering Education Scheme Wales, i2E, Go4SET, Headstart Cymru, The Year in Industry, F1 in Schools and Girls into Engineering.

The day, organised alongside EESW -Engineering Education Scheme Wales-complements similar days put on by the university.

EESW has been operating in Wales since 1989 and is driven by a team of outstanding volunteers and supporters.

With 30 teams attending the event, along with additional supporting activities arrange by colleagues from the EESW team the day had a full schedule.

Students from across Wales who took part in the EESW sixth form project last year were invited to submit an application form, detailing their experience with STEM subjects and how they might contribute to the future of the Welsh Economy.

FLINT HIGH SCHOOL A TEAM of year 12 design and technology engineering students from Flint High School who have been working with JCB as part of the EESW (Engineering Education Scheme Wales) showcased their exciting new interactive attraction at the recent Big Bang Fair in Llandudno.

His wife, Dr Raj Parry Jones kindly offered to support the award to commemorate Tom's commitment to EESW as a trustee for many years.
