Euan died suddenly at his family home in Plymouth in November, 2017.

Last week, the Evening News reported on one Old Town resident, Euan Andrews, pictured below, who has lived in the centre of town for 15 years and says that he "lives in fear for his life" due to the increasingly "out of control" crowds during Edinburgh's festival period.

Thankfully Euan chose not to be totally accurate - and no bathers were injured in the making of this photo.

"It was a good weekend," said Euan, "it still does not feel real to be honest.

Jamie was top performer in the long jump with 5.02 and there were PBs from Euan Wilbert 4.81, Euan Campbell 4.57 and Jack 4.42.

But five days before the birthday bash, Euan began to feel unwell and was complaining of earache.

Police and paramedics attended and the man was identified as Euan McGregor, officers confirmed yesterday.

In a statement released yesterday morning, a spokesman for Northumbria Police said: "Police searching for missing Newcastle man Euan McGregor have found a body.

After Euan returned to his roots in the North East to work for Virgin Money, he wanted to keep exercising after leaving the strict fitness regime of the army behind.

Euan, who plays football for Billingham Town, said: "I saw him in the water, he kept coming up to the surface.
