The FMOA provincial president said the government had totally ignored its own mineral policy and introduced legislation unfairly leasing 85 per cent of the areas discovered by the leaseholders to the people close to the relevant officials.
The FMOA provincial president said the department had caused massive damage to the mineral sector by making uncalled-for and unfair legislation during the last four years to the misery of both mine owners and workers.
FMOA president Marwat also alleged that the concerned minister was involved in corruption.
"Had the KP Government acted on the suggestions of the FMOA, about 1.5 million people would have get employment within two years in KP besides threefold increase in revenue of the province," he remarked.
The FMOA rejected the impression that explosive materials for mining purposes can be used for subversive activities, saying people spreading rumours in this connection was in fact trying to ruin the future of businessmen.

"Under the multi-donor trust funded by the Economic Revitalization of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA (ERKF) project, the SEMDA will welcome FMOA's support for taking a lead role in development of mines and mineral sector of Hazara division both in individual capacity and cluster based up gradation grants for the economic benefits of people," Javed Iqbal Khattak, Provincial Chief SMEDA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said during his visit to SMEDA Abbottabad Office.
Speaking on the occasion, the SMEDA KP Chief said we are focusing on the up-gradation of mining sector in all districts of Hazara division and cooperation of all stakeholders including FMOA will be highly welcomed.
A meeting of FMOA Chitral Zone was held in the district, presided over by the zone president Muhammad Naeem, in which all members of the district including Bashir Ahmad, Raziyatullah and Waqar Shah participated.
In the meeting, they expressed their grave concern over the meeting with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister of the blueeyed persons of provincial minister for mines and minerals Ziaullah Khan by using name of FMOA.
