In his speech delivered at the Space Symposium, Abe announced a new support package designed to cultivate space ventures, including the possibility of providing approximately 100 billion yen in risk money over the next five years for the space business through the public and private sectors, including the DBJ and the INCJ (Photo 2).

Marubeni Corporation (TYO: 8002), a Japanese trading company, Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (INCJ), a government-sponsored private equity corporation, have agreed to acquire Seajacks International from funds controlled by Riverstone Holdings, a conventional and renewable energy firm.

Last November Panasonic reached a broad agreement with the INCJ on the sale of the Panasonic display plant as it decided to scale down its money-losing television business.
