JEDDAH, June 17 (KUNA) -- Shuwaikh port has been designated to serve as a launch pad for the implementation of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Customs Union procedures, due to start by the end of the year, General Manager of Kuwait General Administration of Customs (KGAC) Khaled Al-Saif said on Friday.

KUWAIT, March 23 (KUNA) -- Kuwait General Administration of Customs (KGAC) has signed an agreement with Global Clearinghouse Systems (GCS) to equip the nation's ports of entry with X-ray detection and inspection devices to ensure the safe and secure passage of goods into and out of the country, director of KGAC Khaled Al-Saif said on Wednesday.

To ensure strict implementation of the treaty, PAAFR is in contact with the Environment Public Authority (EPA), Kuwait General Administration of Customs (KGAC), Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR), Kuwait Municipality, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and Kuwait Airways as well as the CITES Secretariat, he went on.

KUWAIT, Feb 19 (KUNA) -- Kuwait General Administration of Customs (KGAC) announced tightening the inspection measures at all centers after warnings that a deadly radioactive material went missing in Basra Province, south Iraq.

The Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAFR), the Public Authority for Sport (PAS), Kuwait General Administration of Customs (KGAC), the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL), Kuwait Investment Authority (KIA), Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA), the Civil Service Commission (CSC), the Manpower Public Authority (MPA), and the Public Authority for Industry are also represented.

KUWAIT, Sept 15 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait General Administration of Customs (KGAC) said here Tuesday it has lodged five lawsuits against the Global Clearinghouse Systems (GCS), demanding a total of KD 120.7 million (around (USD 399.8 million).

Mashaal Al-Ibrahim said the participants in the event paid inspection visits to Al-Shuwaikh Seaport, Kuwait General Administration of Customs (KGAC) and the Kuwaiti company entrusted to verify the chemicals meeting the environment standards.

Kuwait's delegation to the meeting was headed by the General Manager of Kuwait's General Administration of Customs (KGAC) Khaled Al-Saif.
