The SCQF School Ambassador programme offers schools the opportunity to learn more about the benefits of the SCQF and the wider ways in which it supports learners such as recognising wider achievement, developing senior phase learning pathways in line with the developing the young workforce strategy and giving equality between vocational and academic qualifications.

The former Charleston Academy pupil is delighted to be a finalist in the Modern Apprentice of the Year - SCQF Level 5 category.

At the end of their second year pupils will achieve an SCQF level 6 Foundation Apprenticeship in Social Services Children ANDYOUNG People.

ACE Programme Well done to the ACE team at St Modan's for achieveing SCQF credits for completing ACE programme in Communication, Goal Setting, Conflict Resolution, Working with Young People, Human Connection and Planning Sports Programmes workshops.

Programmes covered by this report are offered in a variety of modes at levels 4 to 11 of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF), but the report does not evaluate degree provision.

The individuals taking part will work towards an SCQF level 5 and SCQF level six qualification to help get them ready to take on a modern apprenticeship.

The graduation day involved two ceremonies at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall and students who completed a course at SCQF Level 7 or above were invited to attend to receive their award from college principal Martin McGuire.

The cabinet approved the referencing of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) to the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF), as part of the keenness to avail of it in the fields of quality education and training, and ensure that the accredited hours in the kingdom's various educational institutions are equal to those under the SCQF.

Another option is taking a college course in a relevant subject, such as the Health and Social care SCQF Level 4 qualification available at some Scottish further education institutions.

In his first year, he will work towards an SQA SCQF 6 Diploma in ICT and Telecommunication and, if he is successful, will have the opportunity to progress to the SQA SCQF level 8 which is the equivalent to the second year of a degree programme.

The IoD offers a range of courses including a Certificate in Company Direction, which is a level nine SCQF qualification, a formal qualification offered as part of its Royal Charter through the Privy Council.
