The Discovery
SVX would have been the first of an
SVX family of vehicles produced at Ryton.
Land Rover, a subsidiary of Tata Motors Limited (NYSE: TTM), has withdrawn plans to develop the Discovery
SVX.
John Edwards, managing director of Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations, said, 'The SVAutobiography badge identifies our most luxurious vehicles in the same way the SVR and
SVX monikers denote our most potent and capable derivatives.
The
SVX will sit alongside the Range Rover Sport SVR and Range Rover SVAutobiography, which are hallmarks for outstanding on-road performance and supreme luxury respectively.
The model, described as "the ultimate all-terrain Discovery" is the first Land Rover to be bestowed with an
SVX badge and will be produced at the firm's Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) centre in Ryton-on-Dunsmore, near Coventry.
By contrast, obligatory XVS constructions are obligatorily triggered by certain fixed preverbal constituents, and are not replaceable in context by a comparable clause with
SVX canonical word-order because this is grammatically unavailable or conveys a different meaning, as illustrated in (2)-(3) (2).
The
SVX appears to embody SVO boss John Edwards' belief that there is an attractive customer base for hardcore 4x4s.
