it’s against EA’s user agreement for anyone to monetize or restrict the CC they create for Sims games, that’s why TSR had to get rid of their paywall. We’re all playing in the sandbox EA created, if a creator chooses to share what they make then everyone is allowed to play with it

Hi Lamare! I'm currently using your planting overhaul mod (no complains about it, she's gorgeous), yet there's one little thing that keeps me from utilizing it to its full extent.
As you know, the S&M custom plants are not treated as such by the game, but as objects, and if there's something I am is way too picky. I'd like to change the way these plants behave; want them to grow, to give nature enthusiasm to my sims and to develop their gardening badges. So, for them to be normal plants.
Last time I checked, S&M doesn't allow for edits of their mods to be uploaded and thus I'm not asking you to break their TOUs. I was just wondering if you may know of a tutorial that could help me with this? Because I haven't been able to find any out there.
Hi! I can’t think of a tutorial on this specific thing. I suggest using someone’s custom garden plant as an example and clone it to make your own. Editing the files won’t do, because we’re talking about a whole different type of object. By the way, I thought I heard sun&moon team was going to update their plants, maybe find out about that first

We do have plans to upgrade “To Boldly Grow”. These plans include but are not limited to:
Optimization (lots of it)
Gardening badges and hobby enthusiasm
Weather-related functionality (platns reacting to rain, temperature, etc)
Related: a revamp of our composting system
For a better idea of what it may look like, check out our fruit trees which have received an update to add things like badges.
There is no time estimate rn as 1. we are still working on updating quite a few other sets, 2. all of us have been and are dealing with some real life stuff that takes priority and 3. This is one of our oldest sets. The code is very different from what we are working with now and Sunni (rip) isn’t around anymore to explain it to us
Ps: @ anon it’s not fantastic form to ask a creator to tell you how to modify another (still active) creator’s stuff. Seriously, we’re still active, you can just send us an ask directly.

Hi! Curious what are the advantages/differences of your new laundry mod over the SunMoon one? Or what made you want to create a new laundry mod when there already is one? I've never used the SunMoon laundry mod, so I don't have any experience in how it compares to yours, but have been considering adding laundry to my game and now suddenly I have multiple choices haha.
I also haven’t used the sun&moon’s mod, so I don’t know all the differences that well, but I can tell you mine is simpler and doesn’t have a list of required downloads. Not to say it’s better, that’s for you to decide which style fits your game
We didn’t do it as an alternative to anything, it just happened
To answer your question, it’s Nikki @platinumaspiration who made me want to create a new laundry mod. She converted some laundry machines and needed help with coding some little detail with clothes texture. But I couldn’t stop at that, and it kinda spiraled into what it is now :)
I feel like this creation by @alfredaskew needs more people to know about it, love it and use it too! It’s a default eye add-on set, which basically means you expand the default eye options in game! They show in CAS with the other default maxis eyes and have maxis-style thumbnails. It’s cool as if you grow tired of some eyes you can just edit them and not worry about the drama from removing custom eyes.
AlfredAskew made a bunch of sets using some eye sets, but it’s easy enough to edit the files with your own favourite eye sets, which is what I did :D Maybe I’ll share them some time.
With the release of the Legacy collection, the original The Sims game has seen a resurgence in its modding scene. While much of the modding community is currently located in places like Tumblr or specialized sites such as Simblr.cc, most sites don’t have the sort of infrastructure, history, or community that MTS does.
While other sites such as TSR had a section for The Sims, they’ve recently locked them and prohibited new submissions. Additionally, TSR has a history of being driven primarily by profit while MTS is almost entirely driven my fans. It seems wrong that one of the oldest, and most established, Custom Content aggregate sites doesn’t have it’s own dedicated section for The Sims as so much of the games’ original custom content from the 2000s disappears.
MTS having its own section would make it one of the only custom content aggregate sites to have a functioning download section for the original game.
so all this time ive been rocking the 2019 version of simpe but i just checked out the new version updated december 2024 and bruh??? These terrain editing tools????
the hours ive toiled away hex editing road tiles, fighting with sc4 and the modifyNeighborhoodTerrain cheat… this is going to be such a game changer…

this version does come bundled with some external tools plastered with chris hatch’s signature titty pinup ladies but simpe itself is titty-free now as far as i can tell lmao
EDIT: apparently it’s not quite as titty-free as i thought dfkdjgkgk, the source code is full of horny nonsense although most of it doesn’t seem to apply without chris hatch’s other stuff installed. but there is some unnecessarily sexualized language in the new sim profile feature and some other places, it’s pretty easy to ignore but maybe someone can figure out how to edit those strings…
so far this version has had chris hatch’s horny code removed, and next the plan is to modernize things to be a bit less clunky, and maybe even more useful features down the line! if you’re interested in following the project, the link to the discord is on the community tab of april’s youtube
I am setting up a new uberhood with templates that include infant faces, so I had to add them to my favorite Multi-PT mod by @spookymuffinsims!
And because the default face templates I use don’t include the alien archetype, I decided to add a replacement for it (Face 28). I used this template from Magical Girl Sandbox, adding infant genetics (and LOD15s so your Sims with that template don’t revert to Maxis in house previews).
There are some important notes and information needed to use these, so please make sure you read the documentation.
This is my first time making/sharing either a face template or a multi-PT mod, so please let me know if you run into any errors!
