I bought this light along with a viparspectra 600W, both lights are really good however the Viparspectra did a bit better for me. either one of these lights will do a nice job but only will cover a 3x3 area, for a personal grow, these lights are unbeatable for the price.... update 6-22-18 this light did super on a recent grow, the plant grew towering nugs that toppled over from the weight, the buds were super dense. This is an awesome light, well worth every penny. The coverage isnt super but placed right over the canopy, you will do really well....for a personal medical garden is light is a 100% winner

    I've had this light for 3 months now.. i think i can give a honest review.. This light is good for a 2x2x4 tent.. The par reading with both sides on are at 850 or so.. Wich is not bad at all.. Great veg light.. will also flower as well.. use smaller pots.. 2gal. you can fit 6 in a 2x2x4 tent.. has 4ir's.. draws 266watts from the wall with both sides on.. My buddy pulled over a quarter pound off this light. four 2 gal pots.. experienced growers will pull a gram or close to that per watt.. For a 147 bucks.. yes this light is definitely worth the money.. and it does a good job.

    The light is great and powerful but I feel it loses capability over time. I’ve had it for a bit over a year now and it’s always been in one place, never moved around or tussled with. Always dealt with care, and never came in contact with water or high humidity.

    Not as much red light as I had hoped, and yes I have the flower setting on. Mars Hydro lights definitely have more red light. Could tell a difference in flowering, Mars Hydro (300w) was producing larger flowers, especially in the beginning. Now that I'm 6 weeks in the difference is getting less noticeable but still there. Overall a good performer but will probably be using it in the veg tent.

    Updated: 1 year of use and I have blue lights out in every panel. I have contacted Meizhi through Amazon messaging for service but they keep asking for more and more photos (just as some of the other reviewers have pointed out). I sent them pictures in VEG mode of the lights that were out, then they wanted both pictures in modes (VEG & FLOWER), I sent those too, and now they want pictures of it with the power off. I have been going back and forth with them on a daily basis for almost a week with no progress made. Meanwhile, my plants suffer. Meizhi advertises a 3 year warranty -- but after further looking at new and updated reviews, it would appear they do everything they can to avoid honoring it. If I don't reach a satisfactory resolution, I will begrudgingly purchase a new grow light from a competitor and will report this seller to Amazon. I will happily post all correspondence to social media. If you advertise a 3 year warranty (especially if you do so as a selling feature), then you better be ready to honor it.

    The worst part is this that light had minimal use. It was only used on VEG mode (as my previous review stated) and was never used on full power (VEG + FLOWER mode). In addition, this light was only on a timer and only in use for 4 hours at a time, working in tandem with another grow light (4 hours on and 4 hours off).

    On a side note: I have other lights from KingPlus LED. I have had to replace one single grow light unit with them (I own 4), but I know for a fact they they are no hassle about their warranty. I only paid for shipping for the replacement. I highly suggest KingPlus LED over Meizhi.

    Just got it -- but so, far so good. Hella bright!! Definitely lives up to the hype and PAR levels, dominates over my KingPlus 800w. However, it is heavy on the blue spectrum. I will be using this only on the veg side.

    Quiet (super quiet fans, but not much air flow either)

    Cons (so far):
    Little heavy on the blue side of the spectrum -- flower switch doesn't add a whole lot of red
    No fans with flower switch only -- fans only operate with the veg switch is on.

    Did my research on a good LED starter light for a personal grow tent and this was my number one choice for the power to price ratio.
