The Good Life Mini Album by Paige Evans

Saturday, April 26, 2025

Here is the make'n'take that I taught how to create at our Spring Fling Weekend at The Scrapbook Haven store in Omaha, Nebraska back in mid-March!
Funnily enough, the motto for Nebraska is "The Good Life" which I had absolutely no idea when I was making this. So serendipitous right? It was meant to be!
This is a one-page mini album with tags and lots of embellishments and it comes together quickly & easily!
I do want to go back and add machine stitching everywhere because I love that look and feel.
I used a full sheet of 12x12 double-sided patterned paper from Horizon to make the base and then the tags are from the Whimsical 6x6 Paper Pad.
I love how the tags and trinkets can be tucked in and pulled out of the pockets.
There is plenty of space to add little photos and fill it with memories!
I think it'd be fun to print pictures from our Spring Fling Weekend to add into this mini album :)
There is also ample space on the back side to add even more photos and embellishments!
Here is the diagram I made to create the 1-page mini album base:
I don't have this as an official class PDF in my shop but if you're interested let me know and I can add it!
Thanks for stopping by and have a happy scrappy day!

Family Getaway Layout by Monique Lowe

Thursday, April 24, 2025

Hello and welcome creative friends! Monique Lowe here and I’m so excited to share my new layout using Paige’s Adventurous collection. I’ve documented our recent family trip to Ireland filled with sightseeing, beautiful views, and quality time together.
I started with Paper 14, cutting a square from the center to leave a 1 inch frame. I trimmed off ⅜ inch from each side of a piece of white cardstock and layered it over the paper frame. Then I cut the leftover Paper 14 into strips and distressed the edges with scissors. Next, I added light mixed media using blue Distress Ink and the packaging technique, with a few splatters for texture. Once dry, I stuck down the strips vertically with small gaps between and stitched them in place. I fussy cut frames from Paper 17 and used them to frame 11 mini photos, placing them diagonally across the page with some popped up on craft foam. I embellished with vellum Floral Die Cuts, fussy cut postage stamps from Paper 8Mini Puffy Stickers, and Enamel Dots. For the title, I used a mix of Puffy Phrase Stickers and a Chipboard Word, plus a sentiment from the Sticker Book. Typed journaling strips were added to each photo and I finished with a few gold paint splatters. Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope this layout inspires you to create something fun with the Adventurous collection too!

Let's Cruise Layout by Jackie Ashton

Wednesday, April 23, 2025

Hello friends! Jackie Ashton here with my next design team layout using Paige's Adventurous collection. This layout is a great way to use up some of your scraps, using several different patterned papers cut in to strips of various sizes.
For this layout I used Paper 9, Paper 12, Paper 15, Paper 18, and Paper 21, then distressed the edges and layered them up off-setting all the strips. Before adding them to my cardstock, I added some stencil details using a nautical stencil from my stash to give the cardstock added texture. I matted my 3x4" photos with Paper 9. Using some of the cut apart features from Paper 1, I added them around my page. For the title I used a mixed of Thickers and Mini Thickers. I finished by adding stickers from the Sticker BookMini Puffy Stickers, and Enamel Dots. I love how this layout came together using scraps of patterned papers. How do you use your paper strips? Why not give this idea a go and don’t forget to share in Paige's Happy Scrappy Place Facebook Group, I would love to see what you create!

Explore Layout by Inessa Persekian

Tuesday, April 22, 2025

Hey friends, it’s Inessa Persekian back on the blog and I’m excited to share my latest layout featuring Paige's Adventurous collection paired with her beautiful Spring Leaves cut file which is from the 19 Spring Cut Files. Now, you might not expect to use a leafy cut file for a layout about an auto museum, but that’s the fun part of scrapbooking! It’s all about using what you have in creative ways.
The geometric shapes in the Spring Leaves cut file gave me the perfect backdrop for this page. Depending on how you back it, you can lean into the spring vibe or go for a more structured, bold look like I did here. I used a variety of papers from Adventurous, mixing colors and patterns to keep the design visually interesting. For embellishments, I added Chipboard Shapes, a couple of Ephemera Die Cuts, and flower Cardstock Stickers. I used Thickers to spell "VOLO" for our visit to the Volo Auto Museum. I even tucked in some little car stickers as a fun nod to the theme of the day! This project is a great reminder that you don’t need theme-specific supplies to tell your story - just a little imagination and your favorite products. I hope this layout inspires you to take a fresh look at your stash and try something unexpected! Have a fabulous day!

A Case of the Mondays Layout by Paige Evans

Monday, April 21, 2025

Hello scrappy friends! Here is the fourth of the four layouts that I made with the Whatevs collection by American Crafts and you can find the instructions & supplies in my Whatevs Layouts Class PDF.
I started with a smooth white cardstock background and then made my own pattern by stamping stars repeatedly across the entire page using a rainbow of inks.

A round photo of Sandy and Amy snoozing the day away sits in the middle and then I tucked embellishments tone-on-tone underneath along with the funny title which describes the kitties accurately.

Nope Not Today Layout by Paige Evans

Sunday, April 20, 2025

Hello scrappy friends! Here is the third of the four layouts that I made with the Whatevs collection by American Crafts and you can find the instructions in my Whatevs Layouts Class PDF.
I started with a large "NOPE NOT TODAY" cut file and then rather than backing it with patterned papers I popped the letters up with foam squares for dimension.
I tucked a photo above and below the title and they're of Fox & Jane at what I thought was a cool colored background but they considered it a murder shack lol. A sprinkling of enamel dots and a dash of embellishments finish up this fun page!

Real Life Layout by Paige Evans

Saturday, April 19, 2025

Hello scrappy friends! Here is the second of the four layouts that I made with the Whatevs collection by American Crafts and you can find the instructions in my Whatevs Layouts Class PDF.
I punched a bunch of hearts from rainbow striped paper and then pieced them across a light blue textured cardstock to create a fun and colorful background.
I machine stitched down each heart to add texture and be sure the hearts stay in place permanently. I bent up the heart edges to create dimension & shadows.
The trio of photos are of Fox & Jane at the McDonald's in Waikiki with a lovely painted mural.

Happy Days Layout by Audrey Mutschall

Thursday, April 17, 2025

Hello friends! Audrey Mutschall here with a new layout featuring Paige’s beautiful Adventurous collection. I had so much fun imagining a little scene and then bringing it to life with some of the adorable elements included in Adventurous.
I started by cutting ‘hills’ out of Paper 3, Paper 21, and Paper 22. I added a border of stitching in coordinating embroidery floss and then layered the hills on top of one another over a sheet of white cardstock. I also used blue patterned paper from the 12x12 Project Pad to create a little section of ‘ocean’ in the background. Next, I cut clouds from Paper 2, stitched around them with white embroidery floss, and added them to the sky. I used a chipboard frame from the Chipboard Shapes to frame a photo of my daughter and placed this in the foreground. Lastly, I embellished the scene using fussy cut elements from Paper 6, more Chipboard Shapes, Floral Die Cuts, fussy cut butterflies from Paper 19, Mini Thickers, and Cardstock Stickers.

Flower Frame Layout by Valerie Bisson

Tuesday, April 15, 2025

Hi crafty friends! Valerie Bisson here today and I’m so happy to share a new layout with you. My page features Paige's Flower Frame Cut File paired with several of her collections.
To begin I chose Bazzill Jetstream cardstock for my background - I love this pale shade of blue, it works perfectly for so many pages. Then for the Flower Frame Cut File I used paper 22 from Garden Shoppe and backed it simply in white, green and yellow. Next I matted my photo and placed it in the center popped up with dimensional foam adhesive. The technique for embellishing my page is such a fun one that I have done several times before by adding in various stickers and die cuts to fill in the empty space. The best way to achieve this look is by starting with your photo and title, then the biggest embellishments next and working your way down to the tiniest of embellishments filling in the space. I used a variety of stickers, die cuts, and charms including cardstock stickers, chipboard, puffy stickers and phrases, layered embellishments, foam stickers, pieces from sticker books and thickers. Collections represented are AdventurousBlooming WildGarden Shoppe, and Splendid. I also added in enamel dots and tiny punched flowers & butterflies from my stash. Lastly I splattered white paint around the edges. Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have some fun with Paige’s Cut Files and collections!

Turning Nine Layout by Sophie Delorme

Monday, April 14, 2025

Hello scrappy friends! It's Sophie Delorme here with you today using a cut file from Paige called Nine paired with her Bloom Street collection which is retired but can still be found digitally for printing at home.
I created a mixed media background in different shades of green. I cut the Nine from white cardstock and popped the inner pieces that were fussy cut out of several patterned papers from the Bloom Street collection. I centered the cut file on the page and hand stitched the white border with white thread. I printed my photo in black & white. It is a photo celebrating the 9th birthday of my sweet dog. I scattered beautiful florals and leaves on the page, around my photo and title, and stamped the date. I hope that you like this page! Thank you for stopping by and happy crafting!

Stitched Background Layout by Paige Evans

Sunday, April 13, 2025

Hello scrappy friends! Here is one of the four layouts that I made with the Whatevs collection by American Crafts and you can find the instructions in my Whatevs Layouts Class PDF.
This funky paper was just begging to be stitched! After piercing the holes by hand I backstitched with coordinating thread and used all 6 strands of DMC embroidery floss for the ultimate thickness.
The photos are of Fox & Jane after a torrential downpour at the pineapple plantation so the title seemed appropriate :) I created the photo and title cluster in the center so not a whole lot of time consuming stitching was covered.
Let me know if you have any questions, be sure to check out my Whatevs Layouts Class PDF, and have a happy scrappy day!
