English: A Patarine or Patarene (Italian: Patarìno, plural Patarìni) was a member of an 11th century group of Milanese tradesmen. The patarini supported the reforming Popes of the 11th century. Their movement, called Patarìa, led opposition to simony, clerical marriage and concubinage in Milan.
