Deutsch: Die Volksoper in der österreichischen Bundeshauptstadt Wien. Anlässlich des 50-jährigen Regierungsjubiläums von Kaiser Franz Joseph I. wurde sie unter dem Namen "Kaiser-Jubiläums-Stadttheater" durch die Architekten Franz Freiherr von Krauss und Alexander Graf errichtet und am 14. Dezember 1898 als Sprechbühne eröffnet. Ab 1908 firmierte das Theater nur mehr unter dem Namen "Volksoper". |
