Hello. Are you sure the images depict Stilicho? My information (from Image:Aetius.gif) say they should be Valentinian III, Galla Placidia and Flavius Aetius.--FlagUploader 22:03, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
Hello FlagUploader! I am quite sure. Stilicho is confirmed by Römisch- Germanisches Zentralmuseum Mainz (Roman Germanic Central Museum Mainz) there I have taken the picture and by the book Wilfried Menghin: Frühgeschichte Bayerns. Stuttgart 1990 Page 32. I suppose the Image Image:Aetius.gif is wrong titeled. --Bullenwächter ↑ 23:43, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

File:Boy from Kayhausen X-ray.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added has been deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you believe that the deletion was not in accordance with policy, you may request undeletion. (It is not necessary to request undeletion if using VRT; the file will be automatically restored at the conclusion of the process.) Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Hi. The Museo del Duomo in Monza requests to delete all museum images. After an uploader request, in order to avoid legal problems, I have deleted many pictures in Category:Museo del Duomo (Monza). There is also File:Stilicho.jpg, a photo of yours. Do you want to delete this image to avoid legal problems? Thank you--Trixt (talk) 22:08, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
- No. There ist no need to delete this image as it shows a replica of the dyptichon made at Römisch-Germanisches Zentralmuseum in Mainz, Germany. The image of the replica does not effect the legal rights of the Museum del Duomo in Monza. --Bullenwächter ↑ 20:24, 8 December 2009 (UTC)

Autopatrol given
editHello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you.
Eingeladene Experten sind u.a. THE ART OF NOT LOOKING BACK.

Nr. 22, Hildesheim 1971, ISSN 0342-0736, S. 88–123.
- Thorsten Capelle: Vorrömische Eisenzeit und gallomanische Welt. In: Antropomorphe Holzidole in Mittel- und Nordeuropa (= Scripta minora Regiae Societatis Humaniorum Litterarum Lundensis 1995/96. Nr. 1). Almquist & Wiksell International, Stockholm 1995, ISBN 91-22-01705-4, S. 16-28.

Thanks for uploading File:Jagdlappen Clemenswerth.jpg. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.

If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. editHi there! I was just wondering if there's any chance that you have a higher resolution version of this image? Its a great photo, and I just added a cropped version to the Sutton Hoo helmet page. A high resolution image, if you have one, would make it a bit easier to see the details, especially of the figure on the back of the horse. Thanks! --Usernameunique (talk) 00:17, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
- Dear Usernameunique. Unfortunately this is the best image I have from the object as I took it with a pocet camera without tripod under difficult light conditions. Aditionally I lost the orignal image after an HDD-crash. On my next visit so the Museum a better image of the object is on top of my agenda - but this will still take some time. --Bullenwächter (talk) 12:02, 6 January 2017 (UTC)
