The amount of time and talent it takes to create this many quality podfics of significate length is greatly appreciated! As is the time and talent it takes to write said fics. All three of them are awesome! 😊
Is there someone you’d like to see paired up with our Doctor Lewis? Today is your lucky day!
Please, read the rules carefully before submitting a request.
Requests have to be submitted as an “Ask”, just so it’s easier for me to keep track of them.
The dynamic doesn’t have to be romantic. It can be platonic, but let me know if that’s what you want.
It can be a crossover, it can be an AU.
Information you must provide for your submission:
The characters (Name and movie/TV show (in case of crossover))
What are they doing? Cuddling on the couch, cooking together, buying new pillows… If you don’t have a specific scenario in mind, it’s fine as well.
Prompts are optional. If you have a dialogue or scene prompt you want to add, it’s up to you. If there’s a song, a picture, or a gif you relate to this and you want to share, please do.
I won’t write:
snippets with real people (Tom Hiddleston, Margot Robbie and so on)
about movies/shows that I’ve never watched (Vikings, Avatar, BBC Merlin and so on)
Characters I strongly dislike. (Joker, Kylo Ren, Diego Hargreeves… )
No characters from “Harry Potter” or “Umbrella Academy”
Anything but pure fluff.
I reserve myself the right to decline prompts based on these. If you have any doubt about any of the rules, you can always DM me ^^
How weird is it that I love reading fics when Darcy is Tony’s daughter but also read Darcy/Tony? (not in the same fic - important distinction for me)
Anyhoo - looking for recommendations - for both kind. So far my favorite Darcy is Tony’s daughter fic is Wee Little Stark. When I found it it was already orphaned on ao3 so I have no idea who wrote it but it’s amazing.
God I love long fics and @themonkeycabal definitely delivered. Every installment of this series is just 💋🤌 and I’ve returned for a re-read multiple times. Honestly, I can ship Darcy with just about anybody because she’s a babe and I love her, but Run ‘verse Darcy is like the Darcy of Darcys for me. If you’re a fan of the ‘Darcy Lewis is Tony Starks Daughter’ trope, this one’s for you. I love that there’s more to this series than the main pairing. So often non-romantic relationships get treated as unimportant, both in fic and irl, and that’s just a sad way to view the world. Not to get all sappy but seeing Darcy have lengthy, meaningful interactions with each and every supporting character (both pre & post Bucky) is really what makes this one stick. Iron Dad is always hilarious and the sarcasm and witty banter are on point. However, unlike the standard MCU Formula Script, humor and special effects aren’t a replacement for character development and heart-wrenching moments here. Don’t worry though, plenty of stuff still gets blown up Stark-style. This is also another slow burn bc delayed gratification is the shit right? Watching Bucky re-integrate into society in a way that feels realistic and considers the trauma the character has been subjected to is another reason this one stands out. There’s nothing less appealing than a character being cured of their severe ptsd with the power of Boobs ™ and two chapters of TLC right? Like I said, the character development is one of the stellar aspects for this fic, and I wish more media was given this kind of loving detail. TheMonkeyCabal definitely wrote us a pumpkin chunkin’ , time traveling , real estate hunting, opossum wrangling classic and it’s a pleasure to add this one to my Top Ten.
The year is 2012. Darcy Lewis, a S.H.I.E.L.D. lab assistant (or intern) to astrophysicist Jane Foster, is transferred with her boss to Norway to build a specialized prison cell. Shortly after the prisoner arrives along with the Tesseract, Darcy is accidentally transported from the lab. Suddenly she is a Vinlander–a person from the lands far to the west–in Viking territory torn by warring clans during the late 8th century.
Hurled back in time by the Tesseract, an object she is unable to hold and control let alone understand, Darcy is catapulted into the intrigues of Viking kings, queens, warriors, and Gods that may threaten her life…and steal her heart. For here Loki, the Norse God of Mischief, shows her protection and a love so intense that Darcy becomes a woman torn between wanting to return to her own time where he is a hated enemy and the desire to be with the version of him she loves…and between vastly different versions of her own two irreconcilable lives.
Darcy is bored. Her dating life is falling a bit flat and if she has to look at one more atmospheric reading she’s going to scream. When Jane asks if she wants to go to Asgard for some wedding, she jumps at the chance. Maybe space dudes are the way to go?
Loki is trapped. His father has decreed that he must marry if he wishes to keep his position. If he’s offered one more simpering fool he’s going to scream. When a mortal interrupts the beheading of his latest suitor, he is intrigued. Maybe Earth might have more to offer than a reminder of his failure?
They might be wary of each other, and a little bit insane, but there’s never been a bind they couldn’t talk their way out of, right?
He has been running as long as he can remember. Always running from something.
Now he finally has something to run towards, and a blossoming romance he wishes to invest in. But a horrific attack attracts the attention of the Eternals. Cosmic forces begin to converge. So he does the only thing he knows how.
Darcy found herself wishing that life was more interesting … but quickly realized what a stupid thing that was to do, as she found herself kidnapped by space-pirates and rescued by Obi-Wan Kenobi, who may or may not resemble her friend’s dead younger brother. Either that, or she was on the acid-trip from hell. She was really hoping for the acid-trip from hell.
(Post TDW) The human body was never designed to withstand the power of the Aether. Now Jane is dying and it’s up to Thor and Darcy to save her before time runs out. But when Darcy strikes up an unlikely deal with a certain presumed-dead trickster, it may be her own life that’s on the line.
After the events of New York Loki is angry and unapologetic, and a chance encounter with a young science intern on New Years Eve only leaves him more unbalanced. He is certain of one thing though: Darcy Lewis will be his.
Loki is visiting his brother in London when he finds that Thor and Jane are hiding something from him. as he seeks to solve the mystery of his usually guileless brother’s odd behavior Loki finds himself growing more than attached to the mysterious presence he could swear is living with the two lovers in a crammed apartment in London.
when he and the owner of the curious magic finally meet face to face… well magic might just be the word for it.
Darcy Lewis decides that after David Bowie passes, she was going to hold a little Labyrinth movie night at her place. Then she decided that she was going to invite Loki, since he’d never seen the movie. What happens after that…is sort of magical.
Loki came to consciousness by the call of warm, tender lips against his neck. His eyes flickered open for a bare second, finding their room on Vanaheim aglow with bright morning light. It had been too long since he was able to pull his beloved away from her work. So, he planned a holiday for the two of them on Vanaheim because the Vanir were rather relaxed peoples who thought nothing of young lovers spending the entire week in bed.
Darcy Lewis was going to get laid this evening. This wasn’t going to be one of those shitty hook-ups. This was going to be the best hook-up of her life. She wasn’t going to have an orgasm. She was going to have many orgasms and she knew exactly the man for the job. Except he wasn’t really a man. He was more like a god.
Upon Darcy’s return to the U.S. after encountering evil space-elves in London, and after her recent break-up with Ian, she receives her first mission as an official S.H.I.E.L.D. agent … teaching a god how to blend in better (absolutely no horns), or he might find himself in very big trouble.
Basically, if Darcy got her own movie, and I got to write it … this is what it would be.
Darcy Lewis is just a college grad trying to make some money over the summer before finding a real job. But when she’s hired as a nanny, she never imagined it would be for the daughter of musical prodigy and rock god, Loki Laufeyson. Taking care of a spoiled six year-old girl is one thing. Falling for her famous, silvertongue father? That’s another thing entirely. AU real world setting. The Avengers/Superheroes don’t exist, but the characters still do (and they’re all bamfs).
There came a point when breaking Loki out of prison, to assist in the fight against some evil or another, was occurring so regularly that the Allfather decided to alter Loki’s sentence from “life in prison” to “community service”. It was either that or install a revolving door. Loki was forced to wear a magical bracelet (or “shackle”, as Loki would whine) which not only limited his access to his powers when he wasn’t on a battlefield, but also bind him, to a radius of ten yards, to his parole office, Thor.
Occasionally Thor (and Jane) needed a break from his brooding brother. Enter Darcy Lewis.
Eight months after Thor heads off from Midgard with promises to return, Jane manages to create an Einstein-Rosen Bridge to restore intergalactic travel once more. Unfortunately, it misfires at Darcy, sending her far away to a surprise confrontation with the Chitauri.
She has no idea what to expect when they take her as their prisoner. But never in a million years would she have guessed who her mysterious, diabolical, not to mention sneaky and corrupting inmate would be….
Sometimes answering the door in your underwear can lead to a whole lot of awesome. Or at least it does when the person on the other side is the God of Mischief.
It’s funny seeing the Rogers: All American Musical or whatever it’s called in Hawkeye because I’ve read a fanfic where the premise is Darcy Lewis and Jane Foster - in this universe being history and music majors I believe - develop a musical about Steve’s life based on records from the women in his life, before he even came out of the ice. And then, you know, he comes out of the ice.
you always have such good music mentions in your fics! is that your own music taste, is there anything specific to Darcy that you think she’d like as a character? also do you have a spotify 😁
Thank you! Yes, the music is stuff I like–most everything (books, music, snacks, movies, jewelry, true crime, plushes, beauty products & perfumes) mentioned in my fics is stuff I like or have tried. Giving stuff to a character is a really fun way to talk about things that you enjoy without talking people’s ears off IRL.
I feel like Darcy would like a wide range of music. She’d probably listen to anything once. If anything, I worry my taste in music isn’t wide enough. There are these studies that suggest you stop learning about new media in your early 30s and I’m like, “oh no, have I stagnated already? Have I stopped learning about new stuff?”
One thing I haven’t done in a fic that I think would be fun is to have Darcy come out of the “my ipod was stolen” experience and start to collect vinyl records, because they wouldn’t be seized. I don’t collect them myself, but I get the appeal of that whole, record-crackles-to-life experience. It would be nifty to write something where she has a fave local record shop, too.
I don’t have a spotify, sorry! Here’s one of my favorite weird winter songs, though. It’s from Squirrel Nut Zippers’ Christmas album, which is what I’m listening to today:
Summary: Loki runs a bookshop, because he likes books. Unfortunately, he only found out he didn’t like people once he’d had the grand opening. Now he spends a lot of time sulking, talking to his cat, not talking to his housemate, and sulking. Then one day, the shop bell rings and despite himself, it all changes.
Notting Hill/Avengers/Thor fusion. Mundane AU in which Steve is still a big dude but mostly he’s an architect, Natasha is a security consultant, and Thor is a Viking accountant.
Word count: 50k
Characters/pairings: Loki/Darcy, Steve Rogeres, Natasha Romanoff, Tony Stark, Clint Barton, Bruce Banner, Thor
Rating: Mature
Warnings: None
Rec notes: I have a thing for Richard Curtis and Hugh Grant, so a Notting Hill Tasertricks AU amused me greatly. Loki is a bit more Bernard Black (though, this fic does feature a cameo by Black, in reference to Moran’s role in the film) than Hugh Grant, with a complete misanthropic view of everything. His assistant Bruce has some amazing anger management issues, and only seems to keep his job because he’s useful in scaring away shoplifters. I really enjoy Tony in this as well, and Steve/Tasha as the secondary couple makes me want fic just about them in this universe.
Best of all, I think, is the side thread with Thor and Loki, and how the author kept the tension between Loki and the rest of his family without the whole genocide thing getting in the way. Instead, he just fucked off like a child and refuses to face his problems like an adult, which does feel like a rather Loki-ish way to handle problems.
It also has the kind of ending I love. Not a happily ever after, and not perfect. But satisfying. Everything feels tied up at the end, but it’s more of a slightly mangled knot than a neat little bow, which makes it feel a bit more real to me.
