B. J. Thomas is still performing after all these years and will perform a one night show on Friday, October 10, at 7:30 p. m. at Hempstead Hall on the campus of the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope.

By 7 p.m. the Garden Stage area was almost filled to capacity with enthusiastic fans. The expressive Brazilian singer Claudia Villela combined forces with Bay Area saxophonist Harvey Wainapel for a warm tribute to "Getz/Gilberto," the iconic 1963 Grammy Award-winning bossa nova album by saxophonist Stan Getz and guitarist Joao Gilberto.
