Description

The family Migidae is trapdoor spiders that live in burrows made in the soil or sac-like
nests made in trees that are closed with hinged trapdoors. They are represented by two
genera (Moggridgea O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1875 and Poecilomigas Simon, 1903) from
South Africa represented by 22 species . Both genera have been revised in 1987. Only

Two species Moggridgea loistata Griswold, 1987 and Moggridgea quercina Simon,
