Why is there no section on Darcy's exodus to USA???? Which is extremely important to his story!

Les Darcy Birthday

Les Darcy was born on the 28th of October 1895. It is on his grave that I have visited many times. His family would know his date of Birth. Darren McBeath (talk) 11:33, 10 February 2018 (UTC)

Interesting and thanks for explaining your actions. Its always worth doing this when you edit, in the edit summary box. But before you do any more editing on WP, I recommend you read WP:RS - to understand what you can and can't cite as a source. Generally, a date on a grave or someone's cousin's opinion would not be accepted as a reliable source. Although anyone can edit WP, it has its rules and you will find someone, sooner or later, will revert your edit here or elsewhere if you don't observe the rules. So in the meantime I suggest you find a published "reliable source" to support what you've argued. If I get time, I will try to find his birth certificate to satisfy myself. This is my first time editing on here so I apologise for doing it wrong. But Im sure that someones Grave would be enough evidence to say what their date of Birth would be. I find it very frustrating that his birth date has been wrongly put on so many occasions. Why do you think the government tried to legalise conscription on the 28th October 1895?
