About Me
editI am a pastor (a.k.a. ordained minister/clergyperson) in the United Church of Christ and currently serving as the associate pastor at Second Congregational United Church of Christ in Rockford, Illinois. I was ordained October 13, 2006. I received my Master of Divinity degree from Chicago Theological Seminary in May 2006.
I grew up in the small farm town of Ithaca, Michigan. After graduating high school in 1998, I moved to East Lansing, Michigan to begin at Michigan State University. At MSU, I was a Computer Science major in the Lyman Briggs School (one of MSU's residential colleges), a member of the Honors College, a tenor in the Michgan State University Men's Glee Club and the MSU State Singers, and a member at The Peoples Church of East Lansing. Graduating in 2002, I moved to Chicago to begin at the seminary. From 2004-2005, I spent a full-time internship year at a United Church of Christ congregation in metro-D.C. Arlington, Virginia.
