editThe Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
edit- There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.
There is another theory which states that this has already happened.
- ....a towel has immense psychological value. For some reason, if a strag (strag: nonhitchhiker) discovers that a hitchhiker has his towel with him, he will automatically assume that he is also in possession of a toothbrush, washcloth, soap, tin of biscuits, flask, compass, map, ball of string, gnat spray, wet-weather gear, space suit etc., etc. Furthermore, the strag will then happily lend the hitchhiker any of these or a dozen other items that the hitchhiker might accidentally have "lost". What the strag will think is that any man who can hitch the length and breadth of the galaxy, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through, and still knows where his towel is, is clearly a man to be reckoned with.
The Restaurant At the End of the Universe
edit- "Six by nine. Forty two."
"That's it. That's all there is."
"I always thought something was fundamentally wrong with the universe"
So Long And Thanks for All the Fish
edit- Although they had long known that Earth was about to be destroyed, their attempts to communicate this knowledge to humanity were misinterpreted as attempts to jump through hoops for bits of fish. They left the Earth just prior to its destruction, but left humanity one last message, a triple jump through a hoop whilst whistling the Star Spangled Banner, which, when translated, read, So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish.
chess
editHello, and thank you for joining my chess game!
To play, move the piece of your choice on the chessboard below.
Then change "World" to "kingbirdy23" in the "to move" section.
Finally, using chess notation, note your move in the "moves" section. If you do not know how to use chess notation, you can look at Wikipedia's article on chess notation to see what you need to do.
Or, if you're lazy/tired/whatever, after moving your piece, place a question mark in the "moves" section. I will look at the page history and update the section accordingly.
