Zoicon claims to be a "harmless drudge," and indeed has undertaken to perform some of the "kleggetch" (a neologism from a Utopian novel by Ursula K. Le Guin to describe mindless, physical work) the project requires, such as correcting links, disambiguation, and categorization of articles in a broad range of subject areas. Despite having made 8500 edits since July 2003, I note only a dozen or so comments on Zoicon's talk page, most of them kudos. This has to set some sort of record for non-controverial editing. I make this nomination with Zoicon's permission.

- I'm glad to support, we need more people who are here to do good work and aren't interested in battles. Everyking 06:16, 19 Nov 2004 (UTC)

- Antandrus 02:49, 20 Nov 2004 (UTC) I've noticed Zoicon around for awhile now ... I strongly support people who do hard work on the project and don't try to pick fights.

- I fail to see how picking a few fights so that you can be "tested" would improve wikipedia for anyone. If picking fights makes people "tested", we need more untested admins and users. Shane King 06:44, Nov 21, 2004 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:
- 1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? (Please read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.)
- A. I would anticipate doing "speedy deletion" activity. -- Zoicon5 01:30, 19 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- 2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- A. As The Uninvited noted, I have tended to restrict my editing to activities such as disambiguation and categorization. These tend to be small edits and I can not think of any in particular that stand out as things I would be proud of. -- Zoicon5 01:30, 19 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and will deal with it in the future?
- A. The sort of editing I have been doing is not of a sort that would be likely to generate controversy, nor I have sought to involve myself in conflicts brought on by the edits of others. I do not anticipate that this would change. -- Zoicon5 01:30, 19 Nov 2004 (UTC)
