//Update: Still in hospital but out of ICU. 🎉 There were several blood clots found in both sides of my lungs and one leg. The ones in my lungs were causing all the problems (obviously) but they are in tough places so there have been a million tests and scans. The good news is the initial heart issue appears to be a result of the clots in the lungs stressing the heart and my heart will be fine. The bad news is the doctors can’t go in and bust up the clots but the meds will keep them from getting any bigger or more from forming until they dissolve on their own.
If I stay stable, I should be able to go home soon (on bed rest) with a follow up a week after for a reevaluation & on-going assessments/treatments. Hopefully, everything will be back to normal in a few months and I’ll be feeling much better in a few weeks. 😁
