INFORMATION AND RULES

What is Secret Santa?
Everyone who signs up for this event will become someone’s Secret Santa. You will send them anonymous messages to discover what kind of gift(s) that they’d like. Everyone participating will also get their own Secret Santa. Around Christmas time (December 25th), people can start revealing themselves and post their gifts.

Sign up & Participants
If you wish to participate, send us an ask. Also, please tell us what you are willing to make for the event. We’ll add you to the list of participants. You have until November 17th to sign up. In the following week, someone will contact you telling you about your assigned recipient.

Important: Due to some difficulties last year, the mods might reject your application if you have a history of harassment or neglected to give a gift last year without notifying us. We want everyone to have fun and some people were left disappointed last year. We’ll be stricter on applications this year so that it goes smoothly. 

If you don’t think or aren’t sure you’ll have the time to create a gift, it might be best to sit this one out.

Messages
Make sure that you anonymously message the person you got assigned to so that they know you’re there. You can write to them as much as you want! Ask them questions so that you have a better idea of what they like and want so that their gift please them at the end :) Always write these messages anonymously and be sure to mention that you’re their Jonerys Secret Santa so that they can also give details on what they want.

Gifts
The gifts can be anything: GIFs, edits, fanfics, drabbles, fanart, videos, etc. The gifts should be posted around December 25th (before or after), but anytime during the month is good too. You should post your gift(s) on your own blog and tag #joneryssecretsanta2019 and the person for whom the present is in the first five tags of that post. Also don’t forget to @mention the person in the content of the post so that they can see it. We will reblog all of the gifts.

RULES

• Make sure your ask box is open for anonymous messages.
• Make sure that you’ll have enough time for this event. We don’t want to have anyone without a gift at the end.
• If you don’t get any messages from your Secret Santa: Message us.
• If you don’t get a gift until the end of December: Message us.
• If you have signed up but are not able to participate anymore: Message us as soon as you can, please.
• If you have a serious problem with the person you got assigned to: Message us as soon as possible.
• If you see someone on the list that has harassed you in the past, message us.
• Be nice and have fun!
