To extend or protrude from a certain point or thing. The way the counter juts out makes it hard to walk around the kitchen.
jut out over (someone or something)
To protrude from a certain point or thing and extend over someone or something. They're standing in the sun because the awning doesn't jut out over enough of the porch.
