slang A group of friends or associates that spend a lot of time together. It was nice having the posse back together when everyone came back home from college for the summer. Tommy's got a little posse in school that he's always hanging out with, but Dennis prefers to spend time by himself. The feds have been keeping an eye on the posse of financial brokers, suspecting that they may be running a criminal syndicate of sorts.
