Because we don’t want to miss anyone’s work, we’ve put together this brief guide on the different ways you can submit works to the Jaydick Week blog. Make sure you read the following so you know how to get your work reblogged by us!
❤️💙 Mention us @jaydick-week. This is the most surefire way to get us to notice your submission. Tumblr gives us a nice notification, and we’ll be able to follow the notification directly to your post. **If you are cross-posting on Twitter, please mention us @/jaydickweek**
❤️💙 Tag your post with #jaydickweek or #jaydickweek2025. You must place one of these tags within the first 5 tags to comply with our overlord, the Tumblr search algorithm. The mods will be searching these tags for new submissions every day. If we miss your post, please send us an ask off-anon.
❤️💙 Submit your work through our blog: This is useful if you posted your work to Twitter, or if you’d like to keep fandom things separate from your Tumblr account. You can submit anything from a link to art, though we ask that your submission does not exceed 200 words in length (do not submit entire fics).
❤️💙 Post your work to the AO3 Collection: To post to the collection, visit the collection and click “Post To Collection”. Alternatively, you can post a new work from your profile and search for “Jaydick_Week_2025″ where it says “Post to Collections/Challenges”.

How does signing up for the Jaydick Flower Zine work as an Author Duo? Do both authors sign up seperately or as one individual sign up? How do you ensure you and your partner get paired up? Can we submit shared writing? Or does it need to be 3 seperate examples EACH? Thank you in advance! <3
Good questions!
Both authors should apply separately and indicate their interest in working with the other person in their application. Obviously both must be accepted to work together, and we’re still judging apps blindly, but a) we would strongly prefer duo writers who have already worked together in the past, and b) because of this, we’ll be more likely to use preferences as a tie-breaker once we get to that point. That is, if we’re between person A and person B, and person B was requested by person X, who we would like to have as a contributor, we’d go with person B.
You may submit examples of co-authored works! We suggest indicating on the top of your submission that this is a work you wrote with the person you’d like to be paired with (without names, as these should be blind submissions) to help us gauge what you can do together.

Hello, this might be a weird question, but I wanted to ask about the um, I guess privacy, of the artist applications? Like how many people would be involved in judging the artworks. Because some of my best work is posted under a different username than the one I'm using for the zine, but due to IRL reasons I'd strongly prefer if these accounts were kept separate. How feasible is it for that info to be kept under wraps? Or should I just exclude anything from that different account?

First of all, we are asking that all submissions are linked to Google Drive uploads rather than linked to works posted on social media (Tumblr, Bluesky, etc.). So regardless of where your work was uploaded originally, we will be viewing it on Drive. Because we are judging works blindly, we will only look at social media accounts after we choose to accept someone, and will only have access to the ones applicants choose to put on their application. Of course, there’s always the chance we may recognize your style, but it’s entirely possible that we simply will have no idea about your second username!
In terms of who is viewing your work, only our four mods have access to the submissions. Any information shared with us including emails, social media accounts, addresses, etc. will always remain private.
