And he's painted! I got a little impatient and strung him anyway >> not sure how well the sueding will hold up but overall he looks great! Magnet for his tail will be here tomorrow and I have a friend I've commissioned for his robes.

I'll have a Lambert to go with him, too, but I'm still waiting on the modded Sheepy head.

Eclipse got clothes

The first part of the photo shoot of what I was able to sew (+ a lot of cute bags for dolls🌞)

I used transfer paper for fabric

You can consider this my version of Eclipse, I'll draw a reference for him a little later. PURELY TECHNICALLY, it's just as the prototype and a trial run in sewing

My interpretation of selkie Moon! He's more animalish than @valeintime 's selkie description (with a tail and snout n such) but not bad for a first attempt. :3

The differences between the images are with or without a coat and with or without waves. Still not happy w the bg <_< it looks like I have to study beach rocks in the future.

I'm from the merfolk au side of the dca fandom so dipping my toes into the water of a different au was really refreshing and fun! 🦭 Hoping to make another but with Sun and Moon (in a more true to description kinda way). I started working on this before chapter 5 so I didn't quite make it the more densely forest-enclosed cove, but it's nice to now have a description of the setting for future reference. :D Suddenly excited to do studies on stellar sea lions... And beach rocks I guess lol

Work in Progress day!

I’m making progress on my prototype Sun ball-jointed doll. He’s going to be huge, around 90cm (about 35 inches) tall. He’s gotten a test layer of paint to help visualize him.

He needs sanding on the high points of paint, then detail painting for shadows, grime, etc. I’ve already printed a totally different sculpt variant and have third in mind lol.

It’s a long road but he’s coming together! The rest of his parts are drying.
