March 2025 Memories

 The first two weeks of March were

absolutely beautiful, we enjoyed

some temperatures in the 50's and

even a day with 64 degrees

(that day the Mustang came out

for a drive).

The snowmobiles were prepared

for storage and put away.

The month ended cold,

some snow and forecasts for a blizzard.

~~~
Our girls trip to Duluth:
Fun stuff happening in our family:
Grand #2 and #4 had
choir concerts at school.
Their family also kept track of
March Madness.
Grand #1 and #3 had
cars in a Grand Prix race.
Grand #4 is busy practicing
for her dance recital.
Grand #7 enjoyed the first part
of the month and the days outside.
Grand #5, #2 and #4
all made St Patrick's Day
art.
Baby chicks found a home.
Another busy busy month!
Happy Birthday!
        April Birthdays!
April 1st, Grand #4 turned
6 years old.
Her day was busy with school
and celebrating!
And plenty of April Fool's Jokes.
Grand #4 you are a blessing to our
family and we wish you the best!
Happy Birthday!
We Love You ~ Grandma and
Grandpa!
(we can't wait to celebrate in
a few weeks).
Visiting the Dog Spa
Spring time means mud, wet and
dirty feet and
a spa day for the dogs.
Before and After
Before and After
They both enjoy the days they
go to the spa.
Teeter came home so tired.
It is nice to have that crossed
off the list.
Glensheen
We visited the Glensheen Mansion,
starting with the Carriage House.
I have now visited 4 times, this is
the 2nd time to see all floors
including the attic.
I believe the Carriage House was
different this time with the
buggy on the floor for display.
It was cold and windy so we were
on a mission to just get inside
(so no picture in front of the mansion).
They had Leprachauns hidden
for some additional fun for the
younger visitors (and older).  I think
we probably spied all of them.
The bathrooms so white and bright
with the white tile.
There will be no checking out the
grounds today, it is cold and trying
to rain or snow.  The bushes in the
garden are still covered for the winter
(they looked like people bobbing
around out there).
The large formal dining room.
The pantry and kitchen area.
Looking to the breakfast room with the
fancy expensive tile.
The laundry room
It is always interesting and fun to
go with those who have never
visited.
I have read the book regarding the
murders at the mansion, I will have
to read it again.
We enjoyed a little shopping, had a
delicious meal at the restaurant by
the hotel and had a great evening
visiting.
Saturday arrived and after a quick
breakfast we all headed home.
Get Away to Duluth
We headed to Duluth for Mom's first
follow-up appt.   She will have several
over the next few years.
We scheduled some fun for the
day and overnight.
On our way to the Clinic/Hospital ~ it
was cold and windy.
Mom's appointment went well!
You can see the Canal area from
the Clinic/Hospital.
And Fitgers is right next door.
Our group:  Mom, I and our daughter
met up with Lineman's Gal (our daughter-in-law).
We headed to the Canal Park Brewery
for lunch.   Beer Cheese Soup was
the best!  And Mom enjoyed Walleye.
There was lots of laughter!  It
was a fun time.
The weather was cold and windy so
we didn't venture out to the canal.
Then we headed to Glensheen.
Vacation
 Mom and Dad had been away
on vacation to the south where
it was warm (where the
alligators live).
They enjoyed time with family
and watching their granddaughter
in track and volleyball.
(pictures by others)
They are back home and waiting for
our spring to warm up.
