THIS IS ME. THIS IS WHO I AM.
THIS IS ME. THIS IS WHO I AM.
NICK LEAHY
is a writer/director, producer, occasional actor, and general entertainment professional bouncing between Chicago and Hampton Bays, which means he’s either freezing or dealing with tourists who think that “no wake zone” is just a suggestion. He recently graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in Radio/Television/Film—a degree that, much to his surprise, did not come with a direct line to A24 or an automatic greenlight for his dream project. Shocking.
His writing and directing aim to poke at the flaws in the American narrative, particularly concerning systemic inequities, the fragility of traditional masculinity, historical revisionism, and the spread of misinformation—you know, all the lighthearted stuff. His debut short film, Live From The Geneva!, a period neo-noir exploring Red Scare paranoia and its modern parallels, was an official selection for the 2024 Glendale International Film Festival.
When he’s not writing or directing, Nick works as a freelance producer with experience in short films and live show productions. Most recently, he co-produced CHECK PLEASE, a high-energy action-comedy in which two men nearly kill each other over who gets to pick up the bill. The film was an official selection at Fantastic Fest 2024 and received Best International Film (Special Mention) at the 2025 BFI Future Film Festival. Additionally, Nick has worked as a cinematographer and is an avid photographer. He has a keen understanding of cameras, lighting, and the fine art of making a $500 budget look like $50,000—or at least making a parking lot feel like a cinematic masterpiece.
Lastly, he is deeply invested in the Fallout video game series. The fact that Amazon is producing another season of the Fallout TV show without consulting him personally is a source of deep emotional distress, but he’s trying to be the bigger person about it.
