hanaのつれずれなるままに

Twitterで話題になっていたので、英語でアニメのDeath Noteを見始めました。うちの相方はこの手の私に詳しく、それは元々マンガがベースになっていることを教えてくれました。

彼は私にそれは同名のまんがが元になっていると教えてくれました。

【私】 He taught me it was based on the comic book with the same title.

教える、だからつい teach を使ったのですが、tell に添削されました。

【添削】 He told me that it was based on a comic book with the same title.

過去に同じ間違いをやってるんじゃないかと、My Notebookを検索してみると、やはりありました。じゃんけんの話を書いたときの話でした。

日記にじゃんけんについて書いたとき、何人かの友達が、世界では、コイン投げの方が一般的ですよと教えてくれました。

【添削】 When I wrote about rock-paper-scissors in my journal, some friends told me that flipping a coin is more popular worldwide.

また、tell は紹介するときにも使われます。

おにぎりの作り方を紹介しましょう。

【私】 I introduce how to make onigiri.

【添削】 I will tell you how to make onigiri.

こういう tell の使い方に早くなれたいものです。
