Love in a dark room

This is a kind of what I did today.

Firstly I stripped the bed and put everything in the washing machine.

I then boiled the kettle and had breakfast. This consisted of (in this order)  one tumbler of tomato juice,  two slugs of kefir, one spoonful of linseed, a cup of  green tea and a digestive biscuit.

I then did Wordle in 3.  I next did Codeword which I find on-line by just typing in the word codeword and something comes up with a timer which I do each morning.    Today I was very good and did it in 2.5 minutes.  It can take from 2.2 to 11 minutes.

I then did some administrative tasks.  I bought my car tax via DVLA over the phone.   The car is now taxed for another year.

I then paid a cheque into my bank account by photographing it using the banking app.

I then hoovered the living room.  It was long overdue.

I then took a meter reading and sent this to the electricity company via an on-line method.  This is the first time I have used this method.  I usually do the whole operation by phone.  It is a monthly method of paying for my electricity used.  The amount I owe did not come up after the meter reading was taken so I will have to revisit the app tomorrow to make the payment assuming that it up-dates overnight.

I then rang BT who had sent me a letter earlier this month offering me a renewal of my contract in advance as a special customer.  I talked to a boy in Lancaster and renewed the contract at a rate less than I pay now for broadband.   It will now cost me £37  per month which is fine by me and I agreed to a two year contract. BT have always served me well.

I then did some poetry course work with a view to making some advance on the assignment I did in my first year which was the same assignment as this year but based on my poems of that year.  I studied the feedback I received and worked on doing as the tutor said.  It is worrying even at my age.  I want to do well.

The washing  machine was now done and I emptied it and put it on the line.   It was a sunny, windy, warm day.  Perfect.

I refilled the washing machine with some random washing that I found when I hoovered.

I then cleared up the jigsaw bits in another room that the cats had knocked onto the floor and re-did the bit that they had destroyed.

I then had lunch of tongue sandwiches and a cup of tea.

I ordered a book of poetry with Amazon for a masterclass we are having with Jason Allen-Paissant in May.

I re-made the bed with clean linen from the airing cupboard.

I put out the second load of washing and brought in the first load and placed it in the airing cupboard.

I then texted my date.

I went out to fill the car up with petrol and buy a paper and kindling.

My date replied and I was out shopping having moved on to Waitrose.  I didn't reply.

I got home and got the washing in and emptied the car and checked the mint is growing.  It is.   The new potatoes have just come in and I need mint for them.

I prepared some red cabbage in salt ready for pickling in 24 to 48 hours.

I then watched Pointless.

My date and I have still not caught up with each other.

I am watching House MD all evening.   It is all I have watched since White Lotus finished.   I am in love with Dr House.

House is currently going bonkers having been shot by a former patient.

I went to see the Death of a Unicorn on Monday.  I found it disappointing.   It is being talked about in the same breath as Everything, everywhere all at once.  It shouldn't be and  is not a touch on that.

I loved the AndrĂ© Rieu 75th Birthday concert which I went to on Sunday.  It did not disappoint my birthday treat.

I went for a massage yesterday.  Very heavy Thai deep tissue.

Forward Looking

Old women with their shopping trolleys

Madness, derangement of the people confirmed.

King Leopold II of Belgium cut off people's hands in the Congo.  Millions of people died, and lived,  without hands, men, women and children, if they didn't drain the rubber.  Chopped off at the wrist and collected in buckets and soldiers ordered to count each bucket at the end of the day to give a total of how many had been punished.   I rarely have thought that monuments to past leaders need to be destroyed because history is history  but I have to say that King Leopold II should have no statues left standing.

Stalin starved millions to death to get rid of his enemies and closed the curtains on his train so that his family couldn't see them when the train passed through to summer camp in Odesa.

Hitler was responsible for the deaths of millions because he got it into his head that he wanted to purify the genetic make up of a people and make the perfect race.

Chairman Mao murdered millions by starvation and hate in the great leap forward to get rid of his enemies.

You think now is bad times then you are screwed up.  You ain't seen nothing.   You weep at the hard times.  You despair at the times we live in with the emphasis on oh! these terrible times.    You ain't seen nothing on your little computer screens and news screens and tik toks and you ain't seen nothing worthy of sulking about or crying about or becoming deranged about.

Right and wrong

When Hitler wrote about the cleaning up of Germany and the cleansing of the country from Jews in Mein Kampf in 1925,  and in a letter to a military officer he wrote in 1919,  world leaders did not read it or if they did they did not take it very seriously.  Those Germans who read it, and many academics and professional German people did,  supported Hitler's hatred of the Treaty of Versailles though. (Those with good memories will know  I have written about it before).   If you do not know why Hitler and Germans hated the Treaty of Versailles it is because the Allies after WW1 made it so harsh that Germany was unlikely to ever recover.

I wonder today when I read views on Hamas how many people have read the Hamas Charter of 1988 and the revised issue in 2017.   Its language was revised a little but the meaning of the Charter was the same.  The ideology is the same.

I wonder how much people really know and understand about Hamas.   I wonder many things in relation to this.  If people have read it, or heard it quoted, I wonder are they really taking it seriously, believe the hatred contained in it, believe it can happen?  It can.

How much did regular people know about the Nazis and how seriously did they take them?  Did the reading of Mein Kampf  make people more learned about Hitler?  Did most readers act like the German woman in 1933 who said the cleansing of the nation to pure Germans only and no Jews said it would blow over and it was nothing to be taken seriously?

The Hamas lack of knowledge in the commentaries seems unforgiveable with so much knowledge available and it surprises me to see Hamas defended at almost every level. When I saw one live debate from the UN I was appalled by the time given to Palestine to speak and the time given to Israel.  Israel were barely given time to defend themselves.  This was the very first debate after 7 October 2023. Palestine were given the floor as if the Hamas Charter did not exist and the 7th October 2023 had never happened.

The leader of Hamas military division who was murdered by the IDF last year said  during his time in office that all the Gaza dead, men, women and children, were necessary and they are martyrs to the cause.  He was admitting that they were used as human shields. Nato call this a warfare tool.  They were placed where they would die.  They were not volunteering to do this but they believe they are martyrs to the cause even so. Their families believe in paradise.   The dead man I am talking about has been replaced by his brother.  He believes the same.

Britain and the Allies made many mistakes and they made mistakes in the Balfour Declaration.  If you want to study the history of Palestine and the end of the Ottoman Empire go back to 1917 and WW1, that is far enough for this exercise, and France and Britain.  Balfour signed it, Lloyd George backed it and Rothchild was the addressee.   A war was still going on. WW1 had not ended yet.    Money and the continuing war had a lot to do with the document's existence.

When the Entebbe raid took place (1976)  when the Palestine Liberation Front hijacked a French plane and Israel went to save the civilians on the plane, one Israeli soldier was killed.  He was Jonathan Netanyahu the brother of Benjamin Netanyahu.  I have told you this before.  He was the only soldier killed in the raid.  Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to avenge his brother's death.

Nothing is easily solved and nothing is learned but history tells us many things.

The BBC still do not call Hamas a terrorist organisation.  A documentary that the BBC made about the Hamas Israeli war right now had to be pulled from the airwaves because it was pro-Hamas and anti-Israel so much so it painted an inaccurate picture. .  It failed on all fronts of impartiality.

Don't be one of these BBC news junkies and don't listen to them or at the very least do not hang on to every word they say.

Nobody yesterday asked me to publish this when I asked if you wanted it but I am publishing it anyway.  Many people read my posts or do whatever page views means.  Maybe they don't read, they just carry on to the next blog they look at.  I don't know.  But I continue to write.

What is Britain to Labour?

Shame on Keir Starmer for seeing excitement in a theme park proposal. "This is what Britain wants".

Pity he couldn't be as enthusiastic about British farming, British people, the elderly, the NHS, fishing, common sense about life, scrapping net zero,  honesty, friendship, kindness to the British people, the military, employers,  independent schools, better home life for all, better pensions, better health, more respect for what British people believe in and the people who live here.

Understanding what Labour is doing to Britain and that nobody will have any money left for a theme park day pass would show a bit of common sense.

 Not a theme park.

Our former minister for economics with responsibility for regulating corruption  (whatever that means)  in the financial sector Tulip Siddiq who attended the Kremlin with her corrupt embezzling Bangladeshi aunt faces arrest if she sets foot in Bangladesh. A warrant for Tulip's arrest has been issued.  Perhaps we could have Reeves and Starmer arrested for lies, murder, corruption, and sick jokes to the British people. £350 Million to be given to Ukraine immediately.  Why? Chuck it down a drain instead, might as well. Don't bother giving it to the British people. Can't find it if we want it.  Record number of migrants cross Channel so far this year.  6 small boats arrived yesterday while I was at Andre Rieu concert. Currently on the run through the home counties to sign on. The traffickers bought a new car and drove back to their villa after waving the boats off. They were seen to be laughing.

Perhaps a good start to change in Britain would be to mark Holy Week. Shops to shut on Good Friday and a day of holy obligation and prayer and no theme parks and no recreation allowed.  Wouldn't it be great to return to the old days of Easter and the only thing on sale on Good Friday would be the bread baked overnight between 7 and 8am. The rest of the shops would be closed and businesses closed.

The stock market in London is closed on Good Friday.

The asylum office and all benefits will cease and no further payments are to be made.  This is to be translated for the migrants so that they no longer wish to come here and will stay in their own lands with their mothers who never wanted them to leave Africa in the first place and they can stay there with their lies and Aids and grants and corruption and mend cars and make clothes from rags from Britain and continue to send waste into the sea down the drains of Ghana when it rains and we can be blamed for the rubbish in the seas, we can stop having fires, we can have no oil, no farms, no nitrogen, no stewardship, no respect, no wine, no oil, no money,  no Christmas, no Easter, no church, but as many mosques as we want and a theme park with rusting girders and a film set for 2050 of a country that once was worth living in with fun and cars and before a birthday cake came along and ruined it and fickle voters listened to BBC propaganda and Gary Lineker to earn £1 million and decided they were better people to listen to than anyone with an education  and not to send Huw Edwards to prison nor stop Jimmy Saville nor Cyril Smith and to lie about terrorists and cover up and let them out and let them murder in the name of civil rights and not to deport in the name of Facebook friends, cats, unfair, rob and take Britain for the stupid civil rights led, pc, pit of uneducated, don't know one end of Britain from the other, can't name kings, places, hold a conversation because of headphones, ear things, conversation is dead and have no idea who Wilson was or  Red Robbo and think Arthur Scargill was a hero. If you want to learn something start with recent history and where it all began.  Many miners strikes in the 1970s way before Mrs Thatcher.  Learn, read, discover, educate, stop being pouty, thick, non readers.  Education, education, education, failure of Blair as we sunk to new lows in achievement and have never picked up and we continue to breed the tik tok generation of no conversation, no communication, wild children running around the cinema yesterday with no discipline, no manners, no parents  doing a decent job, fat, popcorn eating noisy, ill dressed, bare skin and half naked.

Manchester bomber who murdered innocent concert goers, young girls, at the Ariana Grande concert because security guards scared to be called racist and search his  bags now maims prison guards with hot cooking oil in prison. And guess who will make excuses for him and hot oil?  Keir Starmer with limp mouth and his AG.   You can imagine having hot cooking oil thrown over you and a laughing murderer?

Tomorrow I will write about Hamas for you to consider the Charter of Hamas and the hate they have.  If you want it.
