Hi, if you're still accepting commissions, I've been trying to look around for a group that I could commission for Beet the Vandel Buster. As a series, it's by the author and artist duo from Dragon Quest's manga, and while it was licensed by VIZ back in the 2000s before they entered a decade-long hiatus, they've since dropped it and now nobody is translating it. So I'd like to ask, are you open to scanlate the remainder?

Hi, I found ch1 of 'Our Youth Isn't Dead' and I wanted to read the other chapters but I can't find them... I saw that you guys did the first chapter and were planning on translating the other chapters (I found it on 25th of september 2022 so I don't know when you started the translations). Do you still plan on releasing them or should I stop looking? I really wanted to read it because it looked interesting :')

I would say stop looking. Akui’s (our group translator/typesetter) been mia on the internet for years by now and we haven’t worked on any manga since then. Sorry ;;;

Another life update (I guess)

Man, it’s been a while since I last posted here. Hello again!

As of now I’m in the first year of my master degree, and while things have gotten easier when it comes to uni, it’s also gotten a lot more hectic outside of that.

I’m starting my first job basically. You see, my uni requires me to do an internship (and I got this one-month internship in this one international company… and guess what? They extended my contract.

So yeah. It’s crazy. But this also affects my commissions.

To put it simply, between work and uni, I don’t get as much free time as I used to, a long time ago. And when you come back from 8 hours of sitting in front of your computer for work, you can’t really find it in yourself to do even more work at home.

That means that I’m closing my commissions for the time being. At least for the people I haven’t started translating for. As for the ones I already started working for, I’m doing baby steps with the translations, but know that I’ll eventually finish the translations and send them two you (I don’t know why I’m speaking in plural, there’s just one person). That or I can return your money if you change your mind.

And what does my job mean for this blog? Well, if you’ve been following me for a while, you know I haven’t posted translations since like…. a year ago.

I started this blog as a way to improve my Japanese and it ended up being a way for me to get pocket money. Maybe one day I’ll come back here. At least I hope so. This summer I want to start actual Japanese courses (I’m self-taught) and get a certification (wait for me JLPT). Can’t wait for that.

personal not sure I ever mentioned it but I've been playing genshin for uhhh almost a year I'm still following tsukiuta from the corner of my eye I've been stuck with bsd for a while and then the fandom sort of ruined it for me still reading fics on ao3 once in an oblivion but rn I'm mainly into genshin how's life in rest you ask? well as calm as it can be with a war in your neighbour's yard

Good lord, once I take a break from my commissions I should have a look over my older translations, they look like they were worded by a kindergarten kid
