Lumsing power bank bluetooth speaker

It's a stereo bluetooth speaker you can use at work with good sound and where you can't blast it anyway. I completely recommend this speaker to anybody looking for a small unit that sounds much better than my iPhone internal speaker.

The design of the speaker has the standard cylindrical shape, but that is where the similarities stop. The body is made of metal with a "Gun Metal" machined finish. Since this one uses metal it has a premium feel, considering most speakers on the market only offer a plastic build.

The sound quality is great with ample bass and treble, even sounds good at higher volumes. For the small of the speaker it produces some room filling sound.

There are other great features such as the phone function, Micro SD Card Slot, FM radio, and AUX port. When making phone calls the microphone makes good clean clips calls. The SD card slot is perfect when wanting to play music from a storage card. The wireless speaker FM radio function works and sounds like a normal radio. For the best radio reception, insert the charging cord into the charging port for an antenna. Also, there is an AUX input for a wired connection, which increases battery life.

I am relatively new to the whole smartphone thing -- I only got my first smartphone in the summer of 2013-- so I continue to struggle to adapt to the different landscape that is the smartphone. A "feature phone" (or "dumb phone," as my dad calls it) has a portable external battery charger that can last for several days of moderate use. A smartphone can last about a day and a half of moderate use, and forget about using it heavily for a day. Your battery will run out, and you are left looking for an outlet (and hoping that you remembered a charger), or you are suddenly without your phone! This happened to me one too many times, and I came to Amazon looking for a device like my friends' iphone second-battery attachment, but for a different type of smartphone.

What I found instead was a little "lipstick-style" battery pack that I could attach as needed to my smartphone to have an extra portable charge. I was skeptical -- can a whole charge really fit in something this size? And does it make sense to charge from a device like this? I'm not an electrical engineer, but I remember a whole thing about AC to DC to AC conversion that a friend of mine told me once. Still, it was worth a shot, so I got one. In short, I am extremely pleased with this device. Let me tell you why.

1. Portability. They say it's a "lipstick style" battery pack, but you should know it is bigger than a lipstick. It's about the size of a roll of quarters, though, so it's not that much bigger. It's reasonably light, and it comes with a little usb cord and a little cloth baggie to put both the battery pack and the cord into. I wouldn't say that you should carry this around in your jeans pocket -- it would be a little bulky for that -- but it definitely could go in a medium-sized purse or a coat pocket or briefcase. In a standard backpack, you'll forget it's there until you need it. You can even have your phone plugged into it while you carry the phone around, if you don't mind the bulk of the two items in your pockets at the same time.

2. Functionality. It portable battery charger pretty quickly, or at least no more slowly than my wall/car charger does. I have charged my smartphone (a Samsung Galaxy Stellar) from about 10% to 100% with no problem, and I even used this to charge a digital camera with an internal battery. In fact, I used it to power AND charge that camera, so I was able to use the camera even as it charged. I'm not sure how much charging the battery pack can actually do on a single charge, because I'm not an engineer/physicist, but it certainly fulfills my basic needs for modern usb-powered devices.

This is very compact and nice portable wireless speakers. I felt its sound quality is very loud with decent bass.

The lumsing speakers MM526 is a robust little device with "rubberised" sides - so you feel if you dropped it, you would not do it a great deal of damage. It says it is waterproof in the advert on Amazon although this is not mentioned in its outer packaging (as far as I could see) or in the instructions - so I refrained from putting this to the test! I'm sure it's splashproof, though. It is very portable - although at 326 grams it is quite heavy to attach to your belt.

Our Smartphones and tables are becoming more integrated into our daily lives. That is, we are using and relying on them more and more. Unfortunately, the external battery charger increase in the use of mobile devices  has outpaced the operating time of the batteries in many of those devises.

Overall, this product power banks fits my needs, looks great, and appears to charge my phone at the same rate as the original wall charger (when using the 1A output).  

Without getting too deep into things, I have to drive a rental car about 100 miles each way one or two days a week for work. I rely on my smartphone for navigation, traffic alerts and re-routing, music and conference calls while on the road. While my Samsung Galaxy S5 is a fantastic phone,waterproof portable speakers volume and sound quality is not one of its strong points. Many of the rentals have no way for me to connect the S5 to the car stereo. And, of course, I can't make any permanent changes to the vehicle. So I needed an easily transportable way to get decent audio out of my Samsung GS5. I have owned and used over a dozen different headsets, both wired and wireless. I find the best quality are the wired, over the ear headsets, but these are also the most troublesome to use when driving a vehicle.

I also had a Jabra Freeway bluetooth speakerphone, but I still found the volume to be a bit too low for my needs. And the Jabra got stolen out of my Jeep a month ago while I was parked topless/doorless at a shopping center. Not wanting to spend $60-90 on another mediocre solution I decided to look at bluetooth speakers. Again, since there is a real and unavoidable risk of theft, I didn't want to go extravagant.

Unboxing the speaker, I found the wireless speakers itself in good condition, a small fold-out instruction pamphlet and USB charging cable. Unlike some other speakers, there was no protective bag to store the speaker when not in use. Minor issue but possibly something worth considering. I'll have to find a friend who drinks Crown Royal and get one of those velvet bags.

My only regret is not ordering this sooner for past vacations or cruises! I LOVE this portable mobile charger ! It has simplified my life by keeping everything connected to one data port as opposed to having to use power strips and extension cords. It keeps all my devices charged to maximum capacity in very little time. It saves a ton of space by having everything connected to one device. Big power from a small device!

This charger is a great space saver for home and especially for travel. Five USB ports is more then enough for the average person to charge up devices. Aside from tablets and smart phones I actually use it to charge up my portable speakers and controllers. Great charger and works exactly as you would expect.
