Don't Settle

God is really awesome, came back from holiday and had some stuff happening but was still thinking about jobs and going back and all and in the span of less than 24 hours, God spoke 3 times, 1 through an awesome sermon from planetshakers, 2 nice convo with Cherie and 3. the joel osteen daily devotional. In short 1 word- don't settle.

I really can't wait to see what God has in store for me. I don't want to settle and just get any old job, i wanna do something that I am really passionate about.

You may be there but God's favor is the difference maker

I don't know how many people read this blog, but yeah of those who read I am quite sure a significant number of you know the of David in the bible and the various tories of him. The one interesting one for me was that of Samuel anointing David.

For years I have always thought that David was tending the sheep a far way off, and therefore his father and family forgot about him. IN short this just meant that David was someone who had a low profile and influence in the family, someone who was forgotten at meals. To a child this might be really hurtful that your family has forgotten about you, but I think what God showed me makes it even worse. In 1 sam 16:11 "And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all [thy] children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither." It shows that David was actually within the sight of his family, because it says Behold/look. I think this hurts more that even though you are seen, you are not acknowledged as a son, especially when a dignified person comes to town.

What God really showed me was that no matter the situation, and whatever you are going through, yes people might have forgotten about you or you might not be getting the attention that you desire, God will be able to turn it around and move on your behalf, remember you are God's chosen and beloved, He will definitely move on your behalf at all times.

What is the King's heart

2 Samuel 14

In this chapter much of it focuses on how Joab tries to intercede for Absalom before King David so that he can return after he killed Ammon his brother.

This is really a tale of 2 people who never knew their position.

Absalom never knew his position before the father because after all this time, when he came before his Father King David, his father kissed him.

Joab on the other had had the same problem of understanding his position before King David. Firstly, He was the commander in chief of the armies of Israel, he was also David's nephew. But when he first tried to intercede for Absalom, he got a stranger to intercede for him. What is really interesting is what he said after in verse 22: Today your servant knows that he has found favor in your sight, my lord.O king,in that the king has fulfilled the request of his servant.

This is very much like us today, we do not realize the position we have before God.We have Jesus who brings our petitions before the father for us, but often we might not have the belief that a prayer we prayed for ourselves has the same power, authority and clout as someone else has. Know that Daddy God loves you very much and He wants you to prosper and when you ask He gladly answers :D

Stop Braking

Was worshipping God just now and it was such an awesome time God really spoke to me.

1. He reminded me of Ps Debbie Prescott's sharing about how she was once praying for her daughter to break up with her bf and how the prayer didn't seem to be answered. She then shared that how God told her to stop praying about the situation and to just worship Him. Some time later, she was impressed by God to pray about the situation about her daughter and within a few days her daughter broke up with her bf. The gist is basically to not focus on the situation but on God.Well for me I have been focused a lot about getting a job recently and this was a great reminder to stop stressing and focusing about it.

2.As I just worshipped God, He showed me something awesome. I went skiing a few weeks back and well i decided to take it slow. What God showed me was that its time to stop taking it slow and stop slowing down but to let yourself accelerate and move up to speed with what God has planned for me. There are times that uncertainty and fear have stopped us from our goal because we are afraid we will crash, and we take it slow, stop braking and slowing down and come up to speed and let God take you to places not seen before. Yes uncertainty is part of life, just trust in God and He will do all things.

Well yes this is coming a little late, and well for those who frequent this blog A belated Happy New Year filled with the rest and goodness of Daddy God. Will update you on my last trip to London and more soon.

Lord you have Helped

Was in Church Yesterday and worship was somewhat slow and dreary. But isn't it awesome that Daddy God can even move and communicate even when you are feeling bored? well Was singing the hymn Come Thy Fount of Many Blessings when a single word int he lyrics jumped out at me.

. Come, Thou Fount of every blessing,
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,

Praise the mount, I’m fixed upon it,
Mount of Thy redeeming love.

The one word that stood out was in the 2nd stanza that said I will raise my Ebenezer.

So the curious me as usual looked it up when I got home. Well that was such a word in season. I have been having exams and during the past week Daddy God has already been so good in guiding me through this time. Wednesday night was such an amazing time. The time was 10PM I was totally drowning in the work I had to go through for the E-Commerce paper the next day, well I wasn't ready at all and my mind was blank and exhausted. Well what else could I do but pray and worship and read the bible a little. Well 3 hours later after a dreaming for a good 30mins, reading irrelevant stuff for another 20, and calling my beloved Trish to wake her up. I was Whatsapping Trish and I realized I was almost done. more than 10 lectures worth of stuff was done and I don't know how, except for the favor of Daddy God.

Well I've digressed long enough, what does Ebenezer mean, Stone of help. Or should I propose to you a Somewhat similar meaning, The place where the Lord has helped. The stone if you read in the bible was placed there as a signpost and reminder to the Israelites that God had helped them. Likewise in our lives let us never fail to build on our faith, faith is built up slowly if a little can move a mountain what more when we grow in it. Daddy I thank You have and ares till helping me wherever I go and You will always be there right beside me
