The Month of February!

THE LAST SUPPER!
We had a fun night together at the Mayan.
We celebrated Lucas' upcoming Birthdayand Katys departure to the MTC. It was a lot fun entertainment. Lucas
enjoyed all the water and excitment!



We started Wednesda the 18th, off with lots of tears, but wanted to make
sure we got in our pictures before we left. Isnt Katy the cutest sister missionary you have ever seen! This was hard but little did we know how hard the rest of the morning would go! We headed off to Magglebys Fresh to meet our dear friends Cindy and Preston Redd. Cindy flew in the night before to suprise our family. Her support and love was so appreciated!

Outside the MTC tears were flowing and nerves were starting to show. We were all sick to our stomachs at this point!

WHAT!!!!! We arent even allowed to enter the building together! Are you kidding me! Katy wasnt so thrilled about this part!

Once inside, Katy was "pinned" by our dad! She was excited and of course emotional as it all became so real!

We miss Katy terribly, but she is doing well. She is so excited to do

the Lord's work and spread the gospel. I could not

be more proud of my little sis!

Lucas celebrated his Birthday a little early with his nana and Papa K. He

misses tem so much and had such a fun time with them! We wish they

could visit more often. Lucas got great gifts including new "big boy underpants"

Lucas loved his "big boy underwear" so much that he wore them over his P.J.'s and diaper! I could help but chuckle as I looked at him sound asleep wearing underwear on the outside! Too cute!

Ok, so I have been beynd HORRIBLE at updating lately. Life has just been so
busy. Here are a few random pictures from the last few months!

We went shooting at a gun range over Christmas. We had a blast and everyone

A New Year!

Ok, the New Year has been very busy an completelycrazy at moments! We had a great time in Michigan over he holidays. We enjoyed Lindseys wedding. She was a beautiful bride and the wedding went off without a hitch, except the snow storm! I will post pictures of the beautiful bride and the adorbale ring bearer as soon as I get them! As for sister Kellett she recieved her mission call to Mcallen Texas, 5 miles from the border of Mexico. She is super excited to learn Spanish and she will make such an amazing missionary! We are all so excited for her, but also a little sad for selfish reasons! Phil is in full swing already this semester and I am back at work. We are excited to have Katy, nana and papa come and visit in a few weeks to drop Kty off at the MTC in Febuary. I cant believe it! We are also going to celebrate Lucas' 2nd Birthday. HOLY COW!!!! I am the mother of a 2 year old. It goes so fast! We hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas and New Year and that all is well!

SISTER KELLETT

Ok, its official, my younger and more mature sister Kaitlyn in AMAZING. Last Sunday, she turned in her mission papers! Yes, we were all a little shocked. Not because she isnt going to be the most wonderful sister missionary ever, but because it all happened so quickly. Katy has been such a great friend these past few years and to think how much i will miss her, hurts. But I am honored that my sister is making such a sacrifice. She is a great example to us all and I am blown away her testimony. I love her more than words and wanted to give a "shout out" to the new BYU hawaii graduate and future Sister Kellett. I love you and cant wait to see you in just a few days!

Thanksgiving 2008

We had such a great Thanksgiving! Lela made a FEAST, with 3 main courses and 8 desserts, yes 8! It was incredible especially because there was only 12 guests! It really was one of the best Thanksgivings ever! Besides our feast our weekend was full of other adventures. We went bowling for the first time, which was fun for Lucas and stressful for Phil and I. You try keeping a 21 month old "in" his lane, but not "on" his lane. He has the highest score of all 9 players. (the 3 kids played with bumpers). It was a crazy day to say the least. We also had the BEST time at the Salt Lake Childrens Museum. This was more our style. Lucas could run everywhere and play with everything! We were there for over 4 hours, taking only a break to eat. If you ever go to the Gateway, you really need to go. It is so much fun! Below are pictures from this past weekend. It was a weekend to remember! We hope you had a great Thanksgiving! Whenever Papa Oliveira comes to visit Lucas gets a haircut! Here he isbefore and after! We are keeping it long..dont worry. But he needs to get ready for his big apperance in aunt Lindseys wedding in a few weeks!

We started a new tradition. On Thanksgiving day Lucas and Reese made a beautiful and delicious gingerbread house. It was a yummy mess!
