This program has identified symptomatic cases involving Dormex exposure during 2001-2004.

To determine the segregation ratio of the resistance trait, 40 seedlings from plant line 1722 were germinated from mature T1 seeds and sprayed 14 d later with a 10% solution of Dormex. Thirty-two of the seedlings survived.

Sprouting stimulation was performed using 3.5% Dormex [R] and phytosanitary treatments to control major fungal diseases; management of vines (winter pruning, adventitious sprouts removal, tendril removal, shoot topping) and fertilization were performed according to technical recommendation for the region.

Utilizou-se cianamida hidrogenada a 1% do produto comercial Dormex [R], acrescido de 0,5% de oleo mineral, aplicados via pulverizador costal.

During January--February 2001, eight cases of acute illness in the county of Ragusa, Italy, were reported to the Italian National Institute for Health (INIH) by the Milan Poison Control Center (MPCC) and were attributed to exposure to Dormex [R], a plant growth regulator with hydrogen cyanamide as the active ingredient.

Em duas plantas por repeticao de cada cultivar, foi utilizado o produto comercial Dormex (cianamida hidrogenada), na dosagem de 0,6% e 1% de oleo mineral.
