Frigg

Frigg, 140 miles north-west of the port of Stavanger, was one of the first discoveries on the Norwegian continental shelf.

15 October 2009 - Norwegian petroleum major StatoilHydro ASA (OSE: STL) said today it has discovered oil in the Frigg Delta prospect in the North Sea with proven recoverable volumes of 18 million to 35 million barrels.

Frigg, which was discovered in 1971, is currently undergoing decommissioning, expected to be finalised soon.

The development of the field will involve a subsea tieback to the Brace field with gas being exported onward from Bruce via the Frigg pipeline system to St.

Finnish fiddling group Frigg who I saw in Copenhagen and haven't been able to shake off.

The contract, signed for 30 months and valued at NOK15-20m, covers work on the Frigg field in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea, as well as on a fixed installation in the United Kingdom sector.

Four link up Norway (Norpipe - 21.5 billion [m.sup.3] - and Europipe 12.5 billion [m.sup.3] - to Germany, Zeepipe - 12 billion [m.sup.3] - to Belgium, Frigg - 12 billion [m.sup.3] - to the UK) and the Russian trunk line - 75 billion [m.sup.3] - crosses Ukraine, the Slovak Republic and the Czech Republic to end up in Germany and in France.

Port Reval is currently working for ConocoPhillips Norway at the Eldfisk field, but will begin to work for Aker Kvaerner Offshore Partner at Total's Frigg field after June 2006.
