In this study, we aimed to assess the method for
mudflat saline soil amendment by dairy manure and green manuring.
At every profile three samples are collected from three different horizons, namely, bottom of lagoonal creek (A),
mudflat exposed on the landward side (B) and
mudflat exposed on the seaward side C.
The total area of the ZMNNR is just over 50,000 acres, with about 31,000 acres of mangroves and almost 20,000 acres of intertidal

The Environment Agency is creating an area of saltmarsh and
mudflat to compensate for the long-term loss of natural habitat from the new Redcar coastal flood defences and other planned flood defence schemes on the estuary.
The Environment Agency project will create 22 hectares of inter-tidal saltmarsh and

When commercial harvesters dug worms from a

The pounds 2.3m scheme by the Environment Agency to create 22 hectares of inter-tidal saltmarsh and
mudflat at Greatham Creek, on the borders of Stockton and Hartlepool, will compensate for the loss of similar habitats across the Tees estuary - and also at Redcar - which will be lost due to rising sea levels.
