L'auteur insiste ici sur les difficultes inherentes a l'interpretation de la documentation archeologique qu'il est difficile de rattacher, en l'absence de preuves epigraphiques adjacentes confirmatives, de maniere sure a certaines populations determinees, en l'occurrence serviles.
