Rice junior guard Connor Cashaw (Stevenson) has made his first appearance on the Conference USA InTouch Credit Union All-Academic Team.
Cashaw, who is majoring in sports management, has a 3.492 GPA.
So while Stevenson can't boast of a Jalen Brunson (Villanova), Connor
Cashaw (Rice), Justin Smith (Indiana), Rodney Herenton (Stanford) or Willie Herenton (Miami) this season, the Patriots still have major-college talent -- classroom talent, anyway.
Those players, Jalen Brunson (Villanova), Connor
Cashaw (Rice) and Justin Smith (Indiana), even led Stevenson to the 2015 Class 4A state championship.
