Kirkland Douglas

Kirkland Douglas is an actor and reality TV personality from Rosedale, British Columbia, Canada. He is a 2nd generation horse and cattle farmer and a former rodeo champion. A proud member of the Cheam First Nation, he comes from a lineage of Indigenous Chiefs. After leaving the big city and returning to his roots during the pandemic he found his way into the spotlight as the first gay/two-spirit farmer on "Farming for Love" Season 2. His groundbreaking appearance had a significant impact, becoming the first 2SLGBTQ+ farmer in the English speaking versions of the franchise resonating with audiences nationwide and beyond. Kirkland balances his farm life with an entertainment career and business ventures, promoting cultural heritage and community.
After receiving a diploma in acting from Vancouver Film School, he worked as an actor on different television projects including Continuum (Showcase), Untold Stories of the ER (TLC), and various commercials and short films. Kirkland identifies as gay and two-spirit, and is committed to creating stories he never saw growing up, inclusive of LGBTQ2S+ and Indigenous people.
