Gorby Shih

Born in Taipei, Gorby Mufan Shih has lived and worked in New York, Los Angeles, and Beijing. Not exactly Asian or American, he has described himself as a cultural bridge. Gorby studied film production at the University of Southern California, graduating in 2014. When his short film "Love, Work & Other Demons" made a splash at festivals, he had the honor of directing "Killer Maid", a feature web movie for Tencent in 2017, which is now being adapted to a TV series by Legendary Entertainment. His skills in sound design, writing and directing have landed him numerous jobs on both sides of the Pacific Ocean. He often flies between Los Angeles and Beijing for various film work, using his bilingual and bi-cultural abilities to his advantage.
