Mami Abe was born in Tono, Iwate Prefecture, Japan, on November 9, 1984.
In junior and senior high school, she belonged to the basketball club. After getting her first job in her hometown and saving enough money, she moved to Tokyo at the age of 20 with the goal of becoming an actress. And she succeeded!
Her first film appearance was a small role in Kansen rettô (2009). She also appeared in 009-1: The End of the Beginning (2013), Crying 100 Times: Every Raindrop Falls (2013), or in the j-horror tapes Black Maiden: Chapter Q (2019) and Black Maiden: Chapter A (2019) where she plays an adoptive mother.
She has also appeared in TV dramas and has modeled in commercials and magazines.
