Julia Kawakami

Juria was born on December 13, 1993 in Hokkaidô, Japan, where she grew up and still lives. As a child, Juria was very shy, which frightened her mother, who forced her to take singing and dancing lessons. Later, she discovered a true passion for music and her shyness was "cured".
Kawakami participated in the "a-motion" young talent contest in 2005, a contest organized by Avex Trax, but did not win, so she tried again in 2006, and this time she succeeded, winning the "Grand Prize" by beating ten thousand other participants. This allowed her to receive dance and vocal training from her label Avex Trax. And so, at only 15 years old, she started her career with her first digital single, "Go!".
Juria Kawakami officially debuted as Jurian Beat Crisis at A-Nation 2009, an annual summer concert featuring various artists also signed by Avex Trax, and where she sang her first single "Go!".
Prior to her debut, she had planned to release one digital single a month for twelve months before releasing her first studio album, featuring all twelve singles, at the end of the year. In 2009, she released "Go! Go! ", "Hurricane Love", "Lonely Flight" and "Aitai yo.... Love You" in September, October, November and December respectively. For 2010, she released "Flying Rabbit" on January 27, "Sakura Mau" on February 17, "Mô Ichido.... " on March 17, "BRIGHTEST WAY" on April 7, "Sôda-mi no Kiss" on May 19, "Namida no Naka Kimi wo Mitsuke Ta" on June 16, "Heart no Bakudan" on July 7 and, finally, her twelfth single "Ima Sugu Kiss Me" on August 11.
Her first physical album, self-titled JURIAN BEAT CRISIS, was released on September 1, 2010. In 2011 he released "Kimi to Ita Akashi", her thirteenth digital single on March 16, and on August 10 her first physical single "Zutto Koko Kara".
For 2012, she released her second physical single, Sakura Namida, on February 1.
In 2012, Kawakami appeared in the stage play Holstein Killer Never Die!! as Asuka Yamashiro in April, Musical: Dream High as Yoon Baek-hee in July, Naoto Shirogane in VisuaLive Persona 4: The Evolution in October. In 2013, Kawakami was cast as Ayaka Suzuki in Akuryô Byôtô. In 2014, she was cast as Marina Shinagawa in Mischievous Kiss 2: Love in Tokyo and starred as Saki Yamagishi in the stage production of One Week Friends. In 2015, she portrayed Narukami in Kamisama Hajimemashita: The Musical and Ms. Accord in Puyo Puyo On Stage. In 2016 she has a role in Keishichô Nashi Goren-ka" {Nashi Goreng Railway Murder Case (#1.7)}
