Oleksandr Zinchenko(I)
- Actor
Olexsandr Zinchenko joined City during the summer of 2016 from Russian side Football Club Ufa.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder made 31 appearances for Ufa, scoring twice after spending five years progressing through the ranks at Shakhtar Donetsk. Zinchenko never played for the first team at Donetsk but did represent Ukraine at Under-16 and Under-17 level before his move to Russia.
Regarded as one of Ukraine's brightest talents, Zinchenko made his international debut for his country against Spain in October 2015, aged 18.
In May 2016, he scored his first Ukraine goal in a 4-3 win over Romania - becoming the youngest player to net for his country, in the process beating national team legend Andriy Shevchenko, no less.
Selected for Euro 2016, Zinchenko twice came on as sub in the games against Germany and Northern Ireland and has won six caps going into the 2016/17 campaign.
Very much a player for the future, Zinchenko spent the 2016/17 campaign on loan with Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven and Jong PSV.
He made his City debut in the Carabao Cup tie against Wolves in October 2017 and made 14 appearances in total, winning a Premier League title medal.
